Chinhai and her family were sweet and enjoyed the space. Her communication was good.
Chin was clear, polite and friendly in all his messages from the very start of our communication. He arranged for some of his traveling companions to arrive earlier in the afternoon than he was scheduled to appear on the day of arrival, and this all worked out easily. His friends (and later he, when I met him) made an excellent first impression: quiet, calm people who were very easy to get along with and a pleasure to talk to. In the house, they were so gentle as to be rarely heard coming or going, and their activities disturbed no one. Chin at first expressed some reservations about whether the neighborhood was properly safe, but by the time I ran into him some days later with his group on one of the main avenues at a busy time of evening, they looked very much at ease, blending in with the foot traffic, in fact, as if they were contented longtime residents enjoying the ambiance. On the day of the departure, they left quite early. And here would be my only comment at all for what they could do better in the future. First, I should say that the dishes and glasses filling the drying rack were impeccably cleaned: not a spot or smudge or fingerprint visible anywhere – rarely have I seen such immaculate and beautiful dish-cleaning. Thumbs way up for this! Drawing out to take in the general scene in the apartment, however, it looked (rather amusingly) as if a lion had surprised a group picnic, suddenly sending everyone terrorized to the hills (group picnic becomes group panic). Hence the table adorned with an unfinished breakfast; while on the couch, a cupcake in a take-out box from a famous cakemaker in NYC that one would not expect to be left behind; the hair dryer lying on the kitchen floor; and an array of water bottles throughout the space. No damage at all, nothing harmful. Just a canvass depicting a very hasty exit, likely having more to do with tight early morning plane schedules than stray lions ( surely my exterminator would have told me if he was beginning to see large paw prints around the space). As they left so early, we too had some extra time to take care of these things, which was helpful. I would say that if on their next stay in someone’s place they schedule to have more time on their last day, there is no reason to think that they will not leave the space magnificent, because what they started with the dishes demonstrates a rare and wonderful meticulousness that might be extended into the whole leave-taking process. That being done, they will be some of the best guests on the circuit, what with their well-ingrained calm friendliness and their default excellent respect for all other tenants in the building. Definitely, accept Chin and company: give them a chance to show perfection. They're nearly there, having caused me no worries or headaches during their...
Chinhai was easy to work with, a good communicator and took good care of our place!
Chinhai and his friends took good care of the apartment, leaving it in good condition. Communication was easy and they were flexible about the issue with the internet provider so that it could be fixed
