First, the apartment is not situated in Williamsburg as it is stated in the description, but rather far from it. 3 metro stations or a 30-minute speed walk to be exact. The apartment is located between the Jewish quarter and the Latin ghetto. There’s no coffee shop or a bar (email hidden) radius. When we came and saw the mess, first we thought that the hosts just hadn’t had time to clean the apartment. But the situation with the cleanliness of the apartment wouldn’t change at all throughout our stay. The rooms and the bathroom were dirty; by the look of it the floors hadn’t been washed for a very long time. There was hair in the bathroom and on the towels our hosts provided us with! It will be better if you bring your own towels, or like I did, take the towels and bed linen they give you to the laundry! Second, the room is ok only for those who don’t need any conveniences. It’s not just small, it’s tiny, it cannot accommodate 2 people. It’s just the bed within the walls. You won’t even have any space to open your bag and unpack. There’s no sunlight because half of the window is painted and the other half is occupied by the A/C. You can’t open the window. It’s very dark and close in the room. The studio-like living-room/kitchen looks like a storage room. You don’t want to spend a single minute in it. Only on the last day of our stay (we stayed in the apartment for 11 nights!) I saw 2 normal plates. Perhaps, the hosts had some plates, but they were hiding them?! My upbringing didn’t allow me to look for the plates and cups in the cupboards and drawers. But we could use the PAPER plates))... And one thing you won’t need in the apartment is a knife: they’ve got 26 of those! We didn’t see Aaron, the owner of the apartment, but we briefly ran across his two flatmates who didn’t seem to care about our presence in the apartment at all. The roof? If you manage to get there through the broken window which can fall to your neck while you’re trying to climb through it, consider yourself lucky. We gave it a try, but trust me that was not the experience we’d wanna get. To sum it all up: don’t try to save on your comfort! I do not recommend the apartment to anyone!
We had a very good stay in Aaron's, we dealt with his roommate Will who was very useful. The apartment was lovely, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend Aaron!
We had a great time at Aarons place. He was a great host and invited us to hang out with him and his friends. The best part was the bed, so amazing. We mad a last minute booking with him, that saved our stay in NY, but the roommates wasn't so good at cleaning up after themself - but nothing we couldn't live with.
Aaron was super friendly and the place was great. Super nice French roommate too
Great guest! Considerate, clean and respectful -- and welcome back anytime!
Met Aaron in Wlliamsburg and had an awesome time with him and his friends. He was very hospitable!
