Cat Lover, movie buff and bibliophile. I own my own home and take great pride in it.
Damali is an incredibly generous host and a very warm and friendly woman. I stayed with her for a few weeks while I was working in DC. Even though she only had one day of notice before my arrival, she made the guest basement apartment very welcoming. She kindly offered to pick me up from the airport and even drove me to Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Staying in the basement apartment is great because you can have as much privacy as you'd like- even though the washing machine and dryer are in the basement, Damali makes sure that they aren't used at your inconvenience. The house is located about an 8 minute walk from the Brookland Metro Station and about a 10 minute walk from Rhode Island Metro Station, and is also located near many bus routes. It's not the most convenient place to be when traveling to downtown DC by metro but it's not extremely far either. The great host and all of the space make up for any lost time on the metro! She also has two adorable, friendly cats. If you're ambivalent about cats, you can close the door to the basement and make your (email hidden).
As a native DC resident, Damali is a great resource to have, and as a successful businesswoman, she gave me some career advice too!
All in all, I very much appreciated my time at Damali's. She was a great host during my first weeks living in DC.
Damali was a tremendous guest and and I strongly recommend her to any other AirBnB Hosts out there! Very friendly, easy to communicate with, clean and tidy, she took care of the place like her own...everything was perfect. Looking forward to welcoming you again very soon in Paris!
