Angela's house is comfortable and homely and located in a quiet , leafy part of Trastevere. It is in walking distance from major sites and has more than enough eating establishments nearby to keep you well fed and wanting more. Angela is a friendly host who made our brief stay run very smoothly.
The apartment was spacious and well-equipped. The street was very quiet, still the location was central - about ten minutes walk to the Vatican/San Pietro, and only a five minute walk to the busy tourist areas of Trastevere, We were there in July, and we were very happy about the air condition!
The location is great! Close to everything, and with a lot of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood.
The stairs leading up to the second floor are very convenient (we are 70+).
The apartment is really bright, and just as spatious as it is in the photos. (And the bathroom is just as narrow as it is in the photo. That means that it is quite ok.)
And it is wonderfully silent in all the rooms. The street has a dead end, green and nice, and the windows are brand-new.
We did not need to use the heating system or the air condition, but they seemed to be new, too.
The kitchen was well equipped. And to our happy surprise there was a nice supply of coffee, sugar, oil, juice etc.
Everything was spotlessly clean! We have stayed in many apartments, and this was the cleanest of them all.
A big advantage is that the landlady lives in the same house, on the same floor. She is very kind, and always ready to help you. When we left she arranged the taxi etc. Her partner can help her/you if you have language problems.
We did not dry our clothes on the terrace on the roof because we did not wash anything. BUT we went up there now and then just to look at the view: the Botanical garden and the Gianicolo Hill!
