Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The location was beautiful and convient, and the cottage was extremely well stocked. It was a treat to stay in an airbnb with cookware in good shape! Sitting on the back deck and enjoying the fall sunlight and bucolic landscape was a major highlight.
We just left Kirby Ridge and our faces are still plastered with a huge grin...it was perfect! From the great welcome from Thomas and Hillary and Kenai to the well outfitted and beautiful cabin that they have clearly put time and energy into making comfortable for their guests it was a great stay. We went specifically to mountain bike on the Kingdom Trails, and Kirby Ridge is a short 10 minute drive away from the trail center. When looking for places to stay my husband and I like to be able to cook and relax as if it were our own home and Kirby Ridge allowed us to do just that with a well outfitted kitchen, a charcoal grill (charcoal was provided!), a spectacular view, and a great porch to enjoy this view. The warmth and friendliness of our hosts exceeded any expectations - Thomas is an avid cyclist and is well informed about the trails and can help answer questions if you have any, and Hillary was very generous in her offering of items from her garden which we fully enjoyed with our dinner. The cabin is a perfect place for a couple, but is big enough for two couples if one doesn't mind sleeping on the futon in the living room - which we did as we had friends join us on the second night. It was comfortable and the cabin is definitely spacious enough to accommodate four people. Overall we really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Kirby Ridge. We will be back!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Kirby Ridge! Tom and Hilary were very welcoming and friendly hosts. The place was even better in person! It had so much charm, awesome views, and was very clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to sample their herbs, pears and blueberries, as they were in season when we were there. Their animals were friendly, especially Kenai, their dog, who was one of the happiest, friendliest dogs we've met and we miss him already! We definitely would like to stay there next time we plan a mountain bike trip up to Kingdom Trails.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay hosted by Tom, Hillary, and Kema at Three Plums and a Kiwi. A beautiful and comfortable place. Our hosts went beyond the call of duty in making us feel welcome.
The Hegans, Ottawa
Petit coin vraiment tranquille, très beau et pittoresque. Des hôtes impeccables. Un prix juste. Tout est fourni : la cuisine est complète, les serviettes aussi, et un arrosoir est disponible pour nettoyer les vélos.
We stayed for two days in P-Town. The town was very nice. The accommodation did not meet our expectations. It was dirty and in need of renovation. The furniture was very worn. The upper floor was barely usable. With a small child it was very dangerous. Our son we could hardly let one minutes alone. The garden was so overgrown that we could not use it. The kitchen and appliances such as washing machines were very worn and dirty. Thomas as host was not on site, but the contact by email was fine.
Apologies to Anna. We had some family setbacks and I was not able to get to Provincetown as planned to tend to the house and gardens. I will be there for June working hard to get things up to snuff.
Like many another reviewer here, I hesitate to leave a good review for Point Street, because it was *so* fantastic of a place! I want it all to myself :) The house is large, and can probably sleep up to 6 comfortably. The kitchen is well-stocked. It's maybe a 15 minute walk to all the action in town...not too close and not too far. And a 2 minute walk to beach access on the bay side or a 5 minute drive on the ocean side.
The De Carlos are great hosts, and left us a rather detailed guide to keep them happy. Just typical things like do the laundry, wash and put away the dishes, take out the trash, etc. I'll be back!
Tom was a great host! The house was perfect for our long weekend get-away, in a beautiful neighborhood and a perfect distance from downtown commercial street. The user's guide was very helpful and Tom was very timely with answering questions/concerns. We could not have asked for a better house and host for the weekend! We hope to be back next year!
Thomas is a great host; always answers very promptly, and everything is very well organized. The house's main attraction is its location in Provincetown's nice West End, and in easy walking distance of the town's main drag of shops and restaurants. The house itself is certainly nothing to write home about, but good and absolutely fair if you consider value for money.
Thomas was a pleasure to host. Clean, respectful and friendly. Welcome back anytime!
