I’m someone who usually enjoys the process of getting there as much as the end result. I enjoy planning things, but really appreciate spontaneity and those who bring that to my life. I can come across as serious but have a silly side. I’m not great at describing myself – those old habits of not tooting one’s own horn are hard to shed – but I believe I make up for it by being sincere, honest and open in person.
I'm a very tidy guest - I like to keep my own spaces pretty neat, so I do the same when I'm in someone else's home. When I travel, I prefer to stay in places for more than a few days in order to get a better sense of the culture of the area and what day-to-day life is like. I'm more likely to spend time at a sidewalk cafe, taking everything in, than making sure that I see every tourist site.
My life in San Francisco is busy, but I'm trying to set aside time to travel and have new adventures - including trying out AirBnB.
Some people eat to live….I live to eat. ☺ I’m always up for trying new things and new places, food-wise. I also enjoy cooking at home, as long as I’m not in a rush.
I’m passionate about film – friends will point out that I remember the finest details about the most obscure indie and foreign films – well, only the good ones. I regularly attend local film festivals and make a point to try to see most of the award contenders.
I try to take at least one overseas trip per year. I visit Asia most frequently, as I have family and friends in Taiwan.
