I am a Ph.D. candidate in English Literature. I enjoy jogging along the waterfront at Penn's Landing, reading in the park, and exploring Philly's BYOB restaurant scene.

Our overall experience at Amy's apartment was great. Amy was very responsive before and throughout our stay. She did everything to make us comfortable and offered recommendations on places to eat/drink in the city.
The apartment was very cozy - a perfect east coast apartment! It was a bit noisy at night, but nothing that kept us up. The neighborhood was very hip and modern, and very walkable. I would definitely recommend Amy's place!
Aside from the very audible upstairs neighbors and pipes clanking starting at 5:55 AM every morning and the shower water pressure which was a known oddity...
the stay was excellent - Amy is GREAT and i was able to book this last minute and the area is tremendous, great location and friendly, even on the hip hop bus tour (hop on hop off).
A very gracious and helpful host. The apartment is clean and well cared for, fully stocked for all its guests needs. It is located in a wonderful section of town, could not be more convenient.
The reservation was canceled 29 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Amy was a wonderful host! She met us at the apartment to give us a brief tour and talked us through the checkout process as well. She was very kind to leave delicious chocolates on the pillow, Zagat guides and city information, and even some toiletries to use. We only stayed two nights so we did not use the kitchen, but it seemed to be stocked with anything you'd need, including coffees and teas. There is A/C, wifi, iPod docks, but no TV, if that is an issue for you. There is a monitor that you can hook up to if you want to stream something.
The water pressure is almost nonexistent but Amy warned us she has tried everything - just an old building! The sink, toilet, and shower make some odd noises because of this, but once you get used to it, it's really fine. The washing machine and dryer did seem to have minds of their own... we couldn't quite figure them out!
The location was PERFECT. We parked in a nearby garage but did not use our car once. We walked the entire weekend, which was great - the apartment is within walking distance to all of the historic sites you would wish to see, as well as the Reading Terminal Market, and some great antique shops. A beautiful apartment with a very friendly and flexible host!
Amy was very responsive, helpful, and laid back. We had a great time in Philadelphia and her place was excellent - perfect location, clean and a lot of character. Great neighborhood. I would highly recommend to others!
Amy was a great host, the area is really lovely, and the Good Karma Cafe downstairs is friendly and sells an awesome latte to start the day! Thanks for another great stay in one of my favorite cities Amy!
What a fantastic apartment located in a lovely, centrally located center city neighborhood. Amy was so accommodating and pleasant and made all arrangements so simple. The apartment was immaculate, filled with beautiful flowers and amazingly comfortable. We look forward to renting from Amy again in the future.
We had a very nice experience staying in Amy's apartment. It is very well situated for walking to many major sites in Philly. We did not have a car, but were able to navigate the city on foot. Lots of close, fun places to eat and drink. If you have any downtime, Amy has a very extensive "library" and we enjoyed perusing her literary offerings!. Our only issue and I really hate writing this, but the shower head provided very little pressure, so maybe getting a better shower head would be a solution? Other than that minor detail, Amy is very sweet and very helpful and we recommend staying at her apartment if you are visiting Philadelphia!
The apartment is amazing! It's very roomy and comfortable. You have a lot of privacy and independence within the building, there is washer, dryer, iron and ironing table, everything you could need is there, also it's in a very historic part of Philly, which makes you want to walk everywhere. Amy was great, very welcoming and quite helpful in regards to the places to visit. Will definitely be staying there again when returning to the city of brotherly love.
I stayed at Amy's place while interviewing at Jefferson University Hospital. She was an excellent hostess and stayed in contact with me about arranging my stay. She showed me around her beautiful home and made me feel very welcome. The area felt very safe and was surrounded by restaurants and smaller boutique stores. I could not have asked for a better experience and would certainly stay with her again in the future.
