About Duane and Laura~

Following graduate school in Finland and working for several years in London, Duane moved to San Francisco, California, where for the past five years, he has been working as a signal-processing engineer at a small light-field camera company. Three years ago, Laura relocated to San Francisco (for love!), following several years of work as an art conservator at the Dallas Museum of Art and graduate school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Laura now works as a conservator and registrar at a San Francisco arts organization.

We're super into travels (both big and small!), midcentury modern anything, reading, attempting to learn to sew, collecting and playing vintage guitars, art by Mark Rothko and Jesus Barraza, poetry by Rabindranath Tagore, and music by Brian Eno, David Bowie, and Tom Waits.

We're probably the most chill guests you'll have. From time-to-time we'll have a cocktail or three, but neither of us take drugs or smoke. We're responsive, responsible, and tend to leave things the way we found them. We're clean, we're not creepy, we're honest, and--on occasion--we have a sense of humor. You won't have to worry about us. All we ask for is a clean place, because if we've inquired about renting your space, we already know it looks awesome! :) Thanks for checking out our profile and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Big Update (November 2015): We're married! High above the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, on the quiet, spectacular cliffs of Big Sur, California, we held a beautifully intimate Humanist marriage ceremony with friends and family. It was wonderful! From late December into early January, we'll be celebrating our honeymoon in what is surely one of the most beautiful places in the world--Bali, Indonesia! Yay!
