Laid back guy that spends a lot of time on road. I've used AirBNB myself and have had good experiences.
Great experience! This was my first time in Philadelphia, and it was nice to spend it at a convenient location minutes away from a variety of fun neighborhoods and public transportation options. Chris' place is very neat and tidy, and it's spacious enough for a group of four or so. He clearly has a great eye for interior design and modern living spaces!
The townhouse is right around the corner from an awesome Belgium beer bar and the Rocky Stairs (aka Philadelphia Art Museum), and it's also a short bus ride away from the Independence National Historic Park. I would also recommend checking out the South Street District, as well as the up and coming Northern Liberties neighborhood. If you love craft beer and delicious eats, Tapestry, Standard Tap, The Foodery bottle shop, Blind Pig, Brown Betty Cupcakes and Rustico Pizza cannot be missed!
This place was amazing! We had seen the pictures and thought it looked really nice, but it was even better when we got there! Really modern and fresh and lots of space. And it was perfectly located, we walked into the city several times and it only took 15-20 minutes. We would highly recomend this place to others!
We had a wonderful stay at Chris' home. It was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. And the location was fantastic. Not only is it incredibly safe but it is also very near some fantastic restaurants. Chris was very acoomodating to all my requests and though we did not have the pleasure of meeting, was responsive to all my question during the weekend.
The place was very updated with modern decor and appliances. It was also very clean and neat. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to many great restaurants and sites within downtown Philly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay around downtown Philly.
The townhouse turns out to be how it's described. Nice, clean, spacious and quiet. We wished we had time to cook in his fantastic kitchen, but our schedule was packed including revisiting several of our favorite restaurants in Philly.
The location is good, although parking may take a couple of circles in the neighborhood. The unfortunate incident was we overlooked the Handicapped Parking sign right outside the town home, pulled in when a car left. Due to the foliage covering the handicap sign, and without the blue markings on the curb we're used to seeing, we got a $300 ticket. So be forewarned, as there are handicap spots at the very front, followed by two regular spots, then this one spot in front of this unit is ALSO handicap parking spot.
Great place, modern, clean, decorated with taste we had a very enjoyable stay. The area is very nice with lots of restaurants and shops. Close to the city center. Car park can be difficult particularly on WE and evening. Ideal for participation in Convention. I would definitily recommend this place.
Chris's place is wonderful! Clean, spacious, in a great location! We did find parking, and received great tips from friendly neighbors (park on 22nd Street).
I am happy we chose this place, it was clean, big and decorated with very good taste. It was not only a nice house, the neighborhood was superb and well located from tourist attractions. I definitely recommend this townhouse, no doubt.
Chris has a beautifully remodeled and furnished 3-story apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. I was at a convention and it was great after a busy and noisy day to come "home" to his quiet and relaxing haven. He wasn't around but he responded to my email inquiries promptly. I would definitely stay here again.
Chris was right... this is the best location in Philadelphia! We had a wonderful three night stay here, while I attended a conference at the impressive Philadelphia Convention Centre. This was a pleasant (and safe) walk in the morning, past many historic landmarks. Philly has walking tour postings all over the downtown, so it is impossible to get lost.
The townhouse was immaculately clean and modern inside, with gleaming floors, beautiful and spacious. The beds were comfortable and even fluffy towels were provided.
The best part was the beautiful kitchen, fully stocked with quality spices and condiments to use. As my husband loves to cook, we were able to walk to Whole Foods, shop, and host dinner for our family in Philadelphia, feeling at home the whole time. This was the perfect spot, so much more comfortable and relaxed than a hotel or restaurant.
We would highly recommend Chris' townhouse to anyone coming to Philadelphia. It is such a beautiful city, we would love to come back and see even more!
Chris and his guest were delightful to have use my apartment. They left the apartment in clean condition and helped with a few suggestions. I was hardly aware that they had stayed for four days. They also kept in touch before and after arriving. I would welcome them to stay again.
Chris was the perfect house guest, he stayed while I was away and left no trace!
Solid, trustworthy, reliable guy. Best you could hope for on AirBnb.
