Hello! I am a prof at Smith College.
I speak French fluently, and German and Arabic conversationally.
Gay friendly and foreigner friendly.
Mehammed and his place were both great. He was prompt in communications and very clear about everything, and left a great guide. His place is clean and neat, a lovely flat in an old house ideally located: very near Smith campus, a stone's throw from a terrific bakery (Hungry Ghost) and neighborhood groceries, not far from the bike path, and a short walk downtown. Paradise Pond is a five-minute walk away and makes a lovely walk at the end of the day--geese, ducks, beavers, frogs...The apartment itself is nicely furnished with many kitchen appliances (we didn't make use of them, but it was nice to have the option) and plenty of pots and pans. It sleeps up to five, I'd say--a double bed, a twin in another room, and two sofas in the living room. Two porches on that second floor, front and back, very pleasant. Mehammed was generous, inviting us to use any staples that were there, and as I said, was a terrific host overall. Highly recommended.
Mehammed's apt was perfect! The whole process was very quick and easy, he responds right away- the place was VERY clean, quiet, comfortable, not hard to find, very private and you feel like you are in your own home.
The location is perfect, close to everything.
I cannot see myself booking a hotel or a B&B whenever I am in Northampton!
I am so glad I found him.
Great location! great host! great price! enjoyed my stay and will recommend my friends to stay there.
I went to NYC for my spring break, and for the first time decided to use Airbnb, and I didnt regret. Staying in Mehammed's place was an amazing experience. He wasn't in the city, but cooperated with me via texts. I felt very comfortable, I wish I have had opportunity to meet ,y wonderful host. I had some problems like losing my key (I left it inside the room). and his feedback always was immediate. The place has a nice location, just couple blocks from subway, though I prefer to walk down Broadway.
I stayed at mehammads' in March 2012 for 4 nights. The Room is as described. It was great a place to stay. Big room very private. Share a bathroom that is very clean. Another person lives there and I never saw the person in my stay. 3 blocks from the 1 line subway. Central Park 4 blocks away. Traveled alone and couldn't have been more happy with the stay. Mehammad is a nice host very helpful.
I stayed more than 2 weeks at Mehammad's place from the end of 2011 to the beginning of 2012. he is so nice and sweet person. I could contact him with big ease. I didn't need to worry about anything. he welcomed me with baking bread for me (it was so gooood)!! the room is just as pictures. clean and well organized. there's a nice grocery store in a few blocks and I enjoyed cooking using appliances in the great kitchen:) I could enjoy staying just as I live there. Thank you so much Mehammad!!
Mr. Macks apartment is a fine place to stay in NYC. 8th floor, not much street or other noise. Nice clean room, bathroom, and kitchen. A generous, accommodating and considerate host. Almost on Columbia (website hidden). John the Divine church a half a block away, just walk in the front door, you will be awed. This is the fourth largest church in the world, sculpture, art, music. James Baldwin was being inducted into the churches poets corner when I was there. His friends, musicians, and family were there speaking. Another night there was an organist playing the most amazing music that I have heard any where, I saw Hendrix 3 times, this was on par. So don't miss your chance to go to church in NYC and stay at Mehammeds.
I spent three nights in New York at Mehammed's place. The location is great - just a short walk to the metro. The space is well organized and neat. The stay was comfortable. Also, because of a change in my schedule, I left early (before the last night of my 4 night stay), and Mehammed was very nice to refund the last night's charge! Thanks Mehammed!
Great place to stay, comfortable, quiet, relaxing, clean. Host is very kind, attentive, and respectful, everything nice and easy.
It actually looks like the pictures!!! The place is so nice, clean and quiet. Communication and logistics were quick and easy, Would defenetly stay there again.
Mehammed was a terrific airbnb guest. Excellent communication, timely and tidy!
Mehammed and Lou could not have been nicer guests. They were so sweet and neat and respectful, and even texted us after a walk we recommended to say how much they liked it! Their enthusiasm was really appreciated. We would welcome them back any time.
Mehammed stayed very short in Istanbul but I think he had an idea of where to see and what to do in general. He is a clean and respectful guest. He is tidy and clean. I can recommend him to other hosts.
Hope to see you in Istanbul again Mehammed to explore the rest of the istanbul city!
Mehammed was an excellent guest, I hope he and friends come back again.
Mehammed is the perfect guest. Very easy to communicate with, kept the place tidy, basically, I knew my loft was in good hands while he was there.
I would most definitely host him again!
A well mannered charming young man
Mo is a very nice guy and a perfect guest. I have been very pleased to meet them to give the keys. I hope to see him again in his bnb in NYC. They gave me back the flat as clean as it was when they came in. They are very welcome to come again !
I've had the pleasure of staying at Mo's apartment many times over the past several years, as both a subletter and as a guest, in New York, Paris, and Los Angeles. The spaces are as invariably warm, welcoming and bright as their host! I am particularly fond of this New York apartment; the location, the feel of the neighborhood, the proximity to public transport, amenities. I can not recommend Mo or his place highly enough!
I've known Mo for many years now, and he was awesomely helpful and supportive of me during my move to NYC in 2008. He was headed to France for the summer, so we worked out a sublet situation for the summer to facilitate the headache of the New York Apartment Hunt. I rented the room sight unseen; I was thrilled when I arrived at the building in the Morningside/Colombia area. It's a lovely, classic building on a nice street located close to the subway. The building has a fully functional elevator (big plus!), and the room itself is quite large. It faces the street so that you get lots of nice sunshine! The rest of the apartment is equally nice--far more spacious and elegant than many of my friends' places that I later came to frequent. I completely recommend renting the room and conducting business with Mo--he's a class act with a classy NYC apartment to boot!
Mo is a very smart funny guy who lives in the perfect area: close to central park, Columbia, the museums...and from where it's pretty easy to reach every part of New York. His roommate is discreet but also nice and I enjoyed the talk I had with her.
The appatment is clean and bright...basically I would love to stay there if I had to saty in NY.
