I have four one bedroom houses near each other in the rice fields above Ubud. Great for a family gathering where everyone has their own space or available for booking house individually. Let me know if you have anything to ask!

Wayan, Lucas and Carissa were super nice and welcoming. Wayan's villa was exactly what we were looking for. Cozy and quiet. We were worried at first it would be to hot because their is no AC but it turned out to be for nothing because with the fans it was always cool. The 20min walk on the way to town is amazing.
Sweet location outside of town in the middle of rice fields, very peaceful and beautiful. You'll definitely want a motor bike or car for getting around.
My girlfriend and I rented this house for 20 days and loved it! We felt like we had discovered a hidden gem! Every morning we jogged through the jungle trail & enjoyed the beautiful ridge views and gorgeous temples all just minutes away! The neighborhood was very nice, safe, & the artists on this block are very sweet & talented! Wayan was so friendly and kind. He introduced us to his family and invited us to go to the temple to experience real bali! All our needs were met plus more. The house was clean, well maintained & spacious enough for our yoga practice everyday. We will rent again here!
I was lucky to stay in this house thanks to the hosts making personal arrangements, and I couldn't have asked for a better place. They have a few houses, and all are nice, this one is very quiet as it also sits off the road. The space is very bright and breezy, super clean and comfortable. The terraces in Bali homes make the most enjoyable living spaces, working online while nature surrounds. Beautiful private garden, large kitchen and amazing bathroom with plants and flowers! I could easily spend a lot of time here! I love this area and these homes!
I am in love!!! This house is so sweet and cute... and so quiet. The village it's in is on a hill above Ubud and is very quiet and also cool. The house is off the road about 400 feet and surrounded by rice fields. No roosters or dogs keeping me up, and dark curtains let me sleep very soundly. The terrace is a perfect living space with a big, comfortable daybed, and the kitchen offers views of the rice fields and flying birds. The neighboring villa is next door but they are completely quiet and out of sight. I do wish there was a pool, but there is a very nice one open to the public just down the road. I want to come back and live here long term!!
First I would like to say that we had a wonderful time at Wayan's place! We stayed there for two weeks during our Southeast Asia Trip and it really was great having our own place and to be able to cook our own meals which we hadn't done in a while. Pictures and description are absolutely accurate.
So if you plan a longer stay near Ubud I would definitely recommend it as it is so much nicer and more peaceful than staying downtown in busy and noisy Ubud! However if you are only in Ubud for 2-3 nights and want to go out for dinner and sightseeing and shopping this place might not be the best choice as it is a bit out of the city. You either have to walk at least 30 minutes on a really nice path but during the day it gets really really hot and this could be a challenge or you could rent a motorbike but then it is still a 15 minuten drive. So for a short stay it might be better to stay in Ubud directly.
As others mentioned renting a motorbike is pretty much mandatory. Especially when you are staying longer and need to get groceries and water. However it is really cheap to rent one (less then 4 Euros per day), gas is cheap aswell and the ride up the village is nice.
Another thing that you might want to know before going there. You are likely to share your home with quite a lot of ants, geckos, sometimes an occasional spider. We somehow had especially many, many ants, that only came out at night and also liked joining us in our bed which was a little bit annoying, but I guess there is nothing to be done about this in a place like this in the middle of the rice fields. Good to know might be that on the other hand we rarely had any problems with mosquitos! :)
Also when we stayed there the construction work in the appartment above was still going on and we found it really quite loud with a lot of sawing, drilling and hammering throughout the day. But I think Wayan will be finished mid February so this shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Last but not least many thanks to Lucas and Wayan! You were really really helpful and we loved our stay!!! Hope to come back soon!
First of all we were not bothered by the construction work (we were actually out most of the time when it was occurring, as they were not starting too early), and we look forward to seeing the first floor villa which will be fantastic!
The location is great, so quiet yet not far from Ubud through a nice trekking path. So relaxing, with only noises from the wildlife when falling asleep.
It was nice to have our own cozy villa. Everybody around is so friendly! Special thanks to Wayan of course (and his nice family), Lucas and Carissa, Wayan Rana the artist.
In summary, we were really sad to leave... Was a great experience.
Wayan and Lucas are both great! Communication beforehand was clear, quick and efficient. The villa is beautiful and the Campuhan Ridge peaceful and a lovely escape from busy Ubud. The sunsets up on the ridge are incredible!
Having a motorbike is not necessary, but highly recommended to get back and forth to Ubud.
The upper level of the villa is currently under construction. I barely noticed the noise unless I was outside in the open air bathroom.
The place is beautiful, I concur with all the positives of the previous review. Stayed there alone to write and write I did. Pak Wayan and Lucas are kind and gentle guys. The type of people who would go out of their way to help ensure you get a great experience there. Got like free duck eggs from Pak Wayan (fresh from the farm) because it was raining too heavily when I wanted to walk to the supermarket to buy eggs. And a yoga session from Lucas. It was my first time having duck eggs and a proper yoga session. How cool is that!?? and the place is about 2min walk to one of the best spas in Bali, Karsa spa. That place even has a restaurant which serves good food at great prices with awesome views Look no further just book this place for your next trip to Ubud it's brilliant.
A pleasure to have you with us Shamil, hope to see you again!
