Awesome location and room in Portland. I cam into town to run the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon. It was an easy light rail ride to the convention center and the starting line.
The room was comfortable and clean. They have put much thought into designing the room to have everything you'd need for short stay. My only regret is not staying longer. Go around the corner to the Los Pepitos Locos for some awesome mexican food.
I had a great stay at Amy's place. It's clean and spacious, and offered a great home base for my Portland exploration, given its proximity to both the airport and public transport. Amy sent me all the necessary information to check-in, and in the suite there were some tips for the neighborhood and guide books on Portland/Oregon! Would definitely stay there again.
This space is super clean. Amy is friendly and helpful. Kenton is well situated, a charming, safe place with a couple of good restaurants. I'd definitely stay here again.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us we absolutely loved it
We had a lovely stay in Amy's place in Portland. Checkin was smooth and there were a lot of recommendations for hiking and local cafes and restaurants. Anytime we had any questions the response was very quick and friendly.
Everything was great and as described. Great location, free parking, private entrance, would definitely stay here again.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was great! Amy was very flexible on our arrival time-the room has a private entrance so she hid a key for us and let us arrive when we wanted. The room is lovely, set up as a modern studio with a bed, table an chairs, and a sitting area with a nice couch (that folds down into a futon) and TV. She even has an Xbox and Netflix set up which was perfect to have a relaxing night in after being out in the city all day. The bed was super comfortable, better than my own! The bathroom was gorgeous. You can tell she put a lot of time and effort into making the room clean and comfortable for guests. She even included a nice handwritten card and a list of instructions/helpful hints for the stay (like what the WiFi password was, etc) as well as good coffee and hot chocolate mixes. The house was in a nice residential area with a few shops and places to eat just blocks away. The MAX transportation line was 6 blocks away and it can get you anywhere in Portland, so we did fine without a vehicle. It was about 20-25 minutes to the downtown area, and an hour to the airport. We slept in until about noon all 3 mornings and didn't hear a peep. I could hear a little muffled conversating upstairs in the evenings for about an hour or so but it didn't bother us, I mostly heard from the bathroom and it was around dinner time so not like we were sleeping. That is the only thing I can even complain about and it wasn't a big deal, everything else was great and this home has set high expectations for my next airbnb room. It would be a shame to pass up this place while in Portland!
I loved staying in the Cozy Kenton retreat and would definitely go back. Amy made me feel very welcome, gave clear instructions on how to get in, and the room was super nice. Every detail was thought about.
Amy checked in with me to give me detailed driving and parking instructions which was much appreciated.
Our experience at the Cozy Kenton Retreat was wonderful. Amy truly goes out of her way to ensure that you have a comfortable stay in her home. She welcomed us by writing a little note and leaving a delicious little local treat to munch on. All our amenities and extras were completely taken care of and we felt spoiled brewing such delicious coffee every morning! She also went out of her way to touch base once we were settled in to make sure our first evening went well and that we had everything that we needed. I would recommend this stay to anyone wanting to explore the city of Portland as the neighborhood is lovely and it is extremely close to transit and downtown Portland. Such a great experience and we cannot wait to come back!
Amy & Katie were nice guests who stayed a week in our cabana. I only met them once at the start and they were very communicative and easy going. They left the cabana clean but were a little sloppy in some things, like using a dessert bowl to burn mosquito coils in (and not cleaning it afterwards and now it has all burn marks) and not locking the door when they left and leaving the key inside, while the instructions in the house manual on airbnb and an extra manual in the house instruct different. Now the door was unlocked for quite some time. These were minor things though and I would certainly not have a problem hosting them again.
Amy and her partner where a pleasure to host at Princess Park Suite. Easy to communicate their arrival and departure plans with they were quiet and considerate during their stay and left the suite beautifully clean and tidy. We would welcome them back anytime.
