I couldn't recommend this home stay enough! What a beautiful, hospitable family who made my mother and I feel like part of their family for the three nights we stayed. They went out of their way to organise drivers and activities for us and Krishna's mother's cooking class is a must-do! Her food is divine! The location is also perfect- down a quaint little street but a short stroll or tuk-tuk ride to the main precinct. Nestled down a little lane way, surrounded by a gorgeous garden, this home stay is great value for money and will make your Kerala trip so memorable.
Great location, nice hosts. Would recommend as a stop over when travelling to & from kochi. We spent 3 nights which was nice. Clean rooms, dinner was quite small portions but all in a nice place.
My boyfriend and I spent two nights at Krishna's and loved it. Really clean and well located to walk into town, plus a cute balcony for chilling out. His parents Sharma and Nial are lovely! Best food we've had in Kerala! In fact we are hoping to organise a cooking class with Sharma before we head back home.

We had the most wonderful time at this Home stay. Extremely welcoming with great food, a clean room and a hot shower. Will recommend to friends.
We had a wonderful stay at silverweed homestay. Krishna and his parents were very welcoming and helpful and the typical homecooked food was great! The Room was extremely clean and the terrace is great for relaxing. We enjoyed our stay a lot, thanks for making our first nights in india so nice.
Krishna's place is very clean and his mother prepared us a very delicious breakfast.
I had a great experience with Silverweed. For a start I booked last minute and despite Silverweed being full, Krishna found me space elsewhere (the also excellent 'Homested' homestay nearby) for my first night in Kochi. Silverweed itself is set back from the main road somewhat, so there's a sort of seclusion to it. Festooned with plants and flowers, the house is where Krishna's parents live and they do most of the hosting whilst you're there. Krishna's mother is a great cook and I had several delicious breakfasts and dinners cooked by her. Krishna's father saw to everything else, always with a warm smile and good cheer. My well appointed room had a great balance of comfort and character. All in all I felt welcome and relaxed whilst there, a great introduction to Kochi, and to India itself.
After traveling 3 flts and 24 hours from Wash DC, arriving at Silverweed was like finding an oasis in the desert. The rooms are newly built with all modern amenities and immaculately clean.Krishna's mom Shayma Nair prepares a lovely Keralan b'fast including fresh pineapple juice. There is a lovely terrace to enjoy a rest or catch up on your email. All the popular things to see in Fort Cochin are just a short walk away. I highly recommend silverweed to anyone visiting beautiful Cochin.
We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Krishna's homestay. The room and bathroom were super clean. The idlis at breakfast were the softest I had ever eaten. Krishna and his family were very friendly and gracious. The location of the homestay in Fort Kochi is also very good. One can walk to a lot of the sight seeing locations, like the Chinese Fishing Nets, Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church and the Maritime Museum. Princess Street, which has a lot of eating options is also close by.
