Easy going, like to travel, quiet, not an all night type nor partier. Tend to eat out for dinner, often late w/friends in restaurant biz, other meals tend to eat in unless I have somewhere to be.

Dan was a perfect guest! Also, he was flexible and went out of his way to keep me informed about his departure.
It was absolutely a pleasure to have Dan staying with our company! He is a very warm, kind and considerate person that keep our apartment in very clean condition!
Unfortunately due to my busy schedule in this period, I regret that i did not have a chance to get to know him better but I look forward to seeing him again in the near future!

Dan's a great guy. We met via internet as we share a similar passion and business. he's a fantastic conversationalist, writer, and chef who is a delight to spend time with. I was lucky enough to attend one of his cooking classes when I was visiting BA while living in Uruguay, and enjoyed the whole afternoon talking amongst the guests, drinking wine and scarfing down our delicious creations. A memorable experience for sure!
I've known Dan Perlman and Casa SaltShaker since 2009. I met him in Buenos Aires when I was visiting for nine months. I was a guest at his place and he was an excellent host. I took a few cooking school clases from dan and had dinner at his home a few times. Dan also invited me for coffee, suggested "things to do" "places to go" and "people to meet" while I was in Bs As. A whole array of ideas from Spanish lessons, to theaters, venus, cinemas! Dan is great at including everyone at table in a conversation ... he's a great host and I think on the other side of the table he'd be an excellent guest. I'd host him at my place, and hope I have the opportunity one of these fine days. Dan also had some good ideas about what to see and do and what to avoid in Peru -- sometimes he's like talking with a guide book or a dictionary -- but then he's written a dictionary of menu/food terms in BsAs -- and his written a book full of reviews of restaurants and travel destinations. So read Dan or invite him to dinner!
