First off- thank you for staying over and being a clean guest. I am sorry about your confusion in the daily vs weekly rates. This is my first time hosting someone on Airbnb - and I absolutely welcome guests- which is why I charge such an affordable rate for stays on my futon. When you had initially asked me about the difference in rate on a daily vs weekly basis- I mentioned to you that daily rate is $35 a day- but that you were charged a higher fee since I have a different rate set for stays over a week. I had even offered to give you the lower, $35/day rate for your 9 day stay, since it seemed like you were unaware of the difference in initial booking. I want my home to be welcome to travelers needing a place on a short term basis, but I didn't want permanent guests on my couch (I have 2 rooms upstairs where guests can book- for that purpose- which actually charges a lower daily rate for monthly bookings). When you originally booked and paid for my place, the weekly rate was listed on the site for you to view before you submitted your payment information. Again I am sorry for your confusion- and , like previously mentioned, I will submit a request to airbnb to see whether they can make price differences (on bookings over a week) more obvious to guests - while they are making bookings. I wish we had more face-time to have discussed this in person- but thank you for the honest feedback :) !
