Supposedly "nobody walks in L.A.," but when I moved here more than 20 years ago as a news reporter, I decided to live as close to my employer as possible... which meant living in Hollywood.
I've lived in the same neighborhood ever since. It caters to my every desire: great food (Eva Longoria's Beso is 2 blocks away) amazing movie theaters (as they should be!) and more than 2-dozen bars ranging from low key cool to too-hip-and-pricey... and I love em all!
Despite my proximity to the club scene, my personal life is pretty low key, as you can see from this list of Five Things I Can't Live Without (in no particular order): a good steak, Joni Mitchell's music, "The Walking Dead," a room with a view and the ArcLight movie theaters!
As a producer / reporter I've travelled to places I'd otherwise have never seen (London, Venice and the South of France) and met celebrities I'd be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of. Many of those experiences are forever preserved in the form of photography and artwork proudly displayed in my home.
As Jim Carey wrote next to his handprints at Grauman's Chinese Theater:
"Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily...."
Life IS but a dream!
