A perfect place for those between transits! We made our way from Itea that day in plans to checking out Meteora the next day. Once we got checked in, we were thoroughly briefed on how to tackle the monasteries and other key sites. Well prepared and obvious signs of having done this before I would recommend for any traveler passing by looking for clean and accommodating environment.
Dora is really friendly, living in the hostel is really a kind of good experience
Clean and very friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay in Trikala and our visits to Meteora!!
The hostel was very nice. The rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, as well. It was also in a good location, with a 15 minute walk to the bus station that goes to meteora.
Nice place everybody feels welcome there are always a lot of travelers from around the world it's simple it's nice and it's cool!
We spent a nice night in Arabas hostel. It is perfect for a night in Thessaloniki. Especially if you want to visit the old city. They gave nice advice's for good places to eat. Just instead of a room for 4 we got a room for 3 but it wasn't a problem because the couple slept together, but it would be a problem otherwise. The place is clean and people are cosmopolite and it was a pleasure to arrive there with a glass of cold water :)
Great hostel in absolutely beautiful neighborhood in the old town, very nice people. Thanks to Costa!
The Hostel was very nicely located and all the staff was friendly and accommodating. We ended up not saying at the shared room but in a private one for only 4 euros more. We decided to do this because the shared room was very small and we were assigned two top bed on bunker beds. Also, the room didn't smell so good.
But after the transfer things went smoothly. The town of Trikala is full of cafes and bars and our visit to Meteora was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. We really enjoyed our stay!
Just the thing needed for backpackers.
Dimitris was very friendly, had a lot of tips to go around Meteora and Trikala. The location is good but it is about 30 min bus drive from Kalabaka (Meteora).
the room was clean and we had a good time.
Our family of 5 (3 adult children) stayed at Dora Youth Hostels in Thessaloniki. We had stayed in several youth hostels in Germany and were expecting simple but clean and comfortable accommodations. We were a bit dismayed to find that the room for 5 included 3 rather bumpy cots squeezed into a room with 2 twin beds. There was a stove top unit but we were told that this was not usable. We did not check out the community cooking area. We were not surprised with the smallness of the bathroom, though the shower was difficult to use. The parameter of the shower curtain extended far beyond the shower pad thus we needed to take care that the water from the shower would not run down the curtain and onto the bathroom floor. Several youth were hanging around the small, dark, desk area using the WiFi when we arrived but our children were disappointed that this area closed at 11:00 PM and the WiFi in our room was pretty spotty (thus they resorted to huddling in the hallway which was a bit better). Although the room was a bit disappointing, the "office" staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to see in the city.
