My name is Allison. I live and work in Berkeley, CA where I am the assistant manager of a recording studio called Fantasy Studios. I love my job, but it can be stressful at times. To relax and enjoy myself I like to play music (I play jazz and classical trombone regularly), go to concerts and theater productions, can/preserve/pickle things, entertain my giant cat named Hank, and occasionally will partake in my fair city's official past time of doing yoga.
As of this writing, I have never done AirBNB before, but it seems like a great way to travel on a realistic budget, while meeting some very neat folks in the process. I would describe my travel style as "open," meaning that I am incredibly open to serendipity that can occur when you put yourself in foreign surroundings without expectation. It's an exciting way to invite in a new perspective that you would never gain otherwise-- from something huge like the way you approach love, to something small like new applications for balsamic vinegar. (Incidentally, I am also open to trying new kinds of balsamic vinegar. It is the most important condiment, in my opinion.)
