I'm a (email hidden) of Texas at Austin. I own 4 bicycles and do not want a car. I row crew a few times a week for fun.
Loved this apartment. I made a late reservation for the SXSW week, and Zenzi made it really easy for me to get comfortable. I regret not having spent the time to get to know her better, but hopefully I can repeat the trip next year! I would definitely pick this place again: the view from the bedroom was spectacular, the private bathroom was like new, and it is just a 15-20 min walk to the heart of SXSW. Thanks Zenzi!
Beautiful pad, perfect host. Zenzi is incredibly thoughtful and discrete.
The apartment was an excellent base for my Austin explorations. The room is clean and has plenty of space and the private bathroom is a real plus. Zenzi (email hidden) who was helpful and able to answer questions before and during my stay, but also left me to my own devices when I wanted.
I wouldn't hesitate to book Zenzi's room again next time I find myself in Austin.
I was thrilled to stay in Zenzi's listing. The bed had designer sheets and was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. It felt like I was staying in a boutique hotel. The building has a doorman, who was helpful with my baggage.
Zenzi was gracious, easy to communicate and arrange things with, and is a really interesting person to talk to. I knew I would like her as soon as I saw a book by David Foster Wallace on her shelves.
The location is great – on the west side of Congress, right near a huge series of running trails and good restaurants (like the amazing La Condessa) and bars (Haddington's has great cocktails), but away from them by a few blocks so you have peace and quiet.
I'm not normally the kind of person who would rent a room via AirBnB – I prefer to have an apartment to myself – but this unit felt as much like renting my own apartment as sharing an apartment with the owner can. Caveat: I didn't spend much time in the unit, just using it to sleep and work from the couch for 2 half-days.
