We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful 1 Bedroom apartment in Santa Monica. My wife and I were there for 6 days in early August. The view is absolutely fantastic. You overlook Ocean Avenue. You have a view of the ocean, the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. You couldn't ask for more!
The importance of parking within the public parking garage below the apartment can't be overstated. It was invaluable especially in this very congested area of Santa Monica.
A couple of minor issues arose during our stay and Steve addressed very quickly to our complete satisfaction.
The apartment does not have air conditioning but this was not an issue for us during our stay. The high temperature during our stay was in the low 80s (Fahrenheit). There is a fan in the unit and we used to circulate air in the bedroom.
There is street noise but it wasn't a factor for us. Once you closed the french balcony doors you could hardly hear anything.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate recommending to others. Hope to return some day! Steven is an excellent host.
The location of the flat was great, right across the pier and you can feel the atmosphere even by sitting on your balcony. It is very close to all the attractions in Santa Monica and you can even take a bus right in front of the flat to go almost anywhere in LA area. The flat is just as seen in the pictures and Steven was generally helpful and responsive via emails. We enjoyed ourselves despite the problems below.
Unfortunately Steven did not come to meet us, instead he sent a lady called Lauren. She was helpful somehow but I dont believe it was enough. Steven asked us to arrive the flat at 5pm even the check-in time is 2 pm and he wanted us to check out at 11.00 am as stated previously and then the cleaning lady showed up at 10.15 and we had to rush out. Getting into the apartment was also kind of problematic. When we arrived in the rush hour just in time, we called Lauren to direct us and she told us to get into the garage, park and come up to the flat. However it was not as easy as it sounds. The car park is also used as a public parking and they did not let us park as we were not told about the no of the spot. We tried to explain that we would be staying in a flat upstairs, they said no. We had to drive around the block, came to the entrance and called Lauren again. This time she advised us to give the car to the valet but of course they didnt accept as they work for the restaurant, not the car park. Another trip around the block in the rush hour. İn the third attempt - after driving for 8 hours- I convinced Lauren to come down and get us into the car park. It turned out that there was a specific spot assigned for the flat we were going to stay and all this trouble would not have happened if we were told the number. It was quite frustrating.
Even the location is great, it was also terribly noisy, especially at the weekend. If you are a light sleeper as I am, the non-stop noise from the street and the transparent curtains do not help much.
In my personal opinion, the instructions - just 7 bullet points about the wifi, keys etc- were not sufficient as well. We had to figure out how to use the oven and which key for which door etc - we were given a bunch of keys and we ended up using only two of them but carried all around. Personally, I wished there had been guidelines about all equipment so we would not be scared to use them.
The condo was located in a perfect location- just steps from the pier and views of the beach and water and very convenient to the sites. The parking was definitely a plus. The place was large with a wraparound balcony and nicely decorated. Very secured and safe.
We had some minor issues on the day we checked in but Steven quickly addressed them by the next morning. He exhibited excellent communication with us before, during, and after our stay. He let us park in the garage for a few hours after we checked out which was very considerate of him.
Like others have stated, better toiletries, cleaning amenities, extra sheets and pillow cases and minor maintenance cleaning to the condo and patio would make this an even better place to stay. There was no air conditioning but there was a cool ocean breeze with the patio doors opened.
All in all we had a great time at this condo. You can't beat the location and convenience. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location and spacious apartment with car park. Heap of room for family of five. Steven was great to deal with and very helpful. Would definetly stay here again!
This is prime location on Santa Monica Pier & Beach. Easy and secure to access apartment with a great parking facility. A bit more attention to detail could make this an awesome experience. Unfortunately we never met Steven who was an excellent communicator to help us overcome some little difficulties whilst staying in the apartment.

Toward the end of my stay, unfortunately, the downstairs restaurant began a noisy renovation process. Future guests might inquire as to the progress of that work or come prepared.
My husband, two daughters and myself had a wonderful vacation staying in Steven's condo. The location is absolutely perfect for shopping, dining and enjoying the beach. A perk of having two underground parking spaces was wonderful! Great spot!
Das Appartement ist in einer Top Lage, wie beschrieben direkt am Pier mit super Aussicht. Toll ist der Parkplatz im Gebäude, Parkplätze an der Straße sind rar und müssen bezahlt werden. Von der Größe her ist die Wohnung sehr angenehm und freundlich eingerichtet.
Haben sehr gut in dem bequemen Bett geschlafen, man hört zwar die Straße, aber das war nicht weiter schlimm. Die Küche wäre geeignet zum Kochen, doch sind die Utensilien nicht sehr gut geordnet bzw. könnte die Küche besser ausgestattet sein bzw. müsste man auch die Dinge die andere Gäste da lassen, hin und wieder aussortieren.
Es hätte generell sauberer sein können - WC schmutzig, sehr viele (Bart)haare beim Waschbecken und in der Dusche, Staub, Flecken in den Handtüchern, etc. Die Dusche könnte, wie von einigen beschrieben mehr Wasserdruck vertragen bzw. das Badezimmer eine Renovierung. Ein zweites Nachtkäschen wäre auch super beim Bett.
Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir uns aber sehr wohl gefühlt in der Wohnung und sind gerne nach einem langen Tag zurück gekommen.
Der Kontakt mit Steven war super - sehr schnelle Antworten und immer freundlich. Den Schlüssel haben wir auch spät am Abend noch bekommen (nicht persönlich, aber war auch nicht nötig). War ein toller Aufenthalt für uns in einer tollen Gegend!
PS: da in den Kommentaren darauf hingewiesen wurde, dass kein Fön in der Wohnung wäre und Steven auch auf Nachfrage keinen zur Verfügung stellte, haben wir einen gekauft und da gelassen. Hoffentlich freut sich die/der nächste, der sich die Haare fönen möchte darüber...
Our stay in Steven's apartment was perfect for our purposes. We were traveling on both business and pleasure and appreciated having the accommodations of an apartment rather than a hotel. The apartment is located very conveniently with an amazing view and adjacent to both the Ivy and The Shore Hotel, among others. There is a new cycling studio downstairs with great classes and we rented road bikes down the street to ride along the beach. The parking spot was invaluable and made it easy to run to Whole Foods and CVS for food and supplies, as well as easy access to I-10 which gets you to many neighborhoods in LA. The noise was not an issue for us and we slept well.
Apartment was spacious and clean. The best location you can wish for. Really enjoyed our stay.
