It's a beautiful house in awesome neighborhood. Everything is clean and neat.
I recommend this appartment
There is only two thing :
1- Too much noise from neighbors
2 - Not enough kitchenware
Overall our stay was great. Ryan was very responsive and getting in and out was very simple. The unit was clean and had all of the basics we could want.
The only issue we experienced was the neighbors' noise level above us. They have small children that cried through the night and could be heard stomping (or at least that's how it sounded) playing, etc. throughout the evening/night and morning. It was loud enough to understand the tantrums, and wake us up when the baby cried throughout the night. If you are okay with a the noise part then I would recommend this unit, however, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing experience you may not find it here. We gave it 3 stars because the unit itself was great, the uncontrollable factor, "neighbor noise" is what lead to the deductions.
1. The apartment was clean and neat
2. Kitchen, laundry and bath had the basics you'll need
3. Location was convenient for touring SF/Bay Area
4. Convenient check-in & out
1. Neighbors above are very loud. They have young children and you can clearly hear them throughout the evening/night and morning.
2. Parking can be a little challenging (I am accustomed to this coming from NYC but if you are not be prepared to hunt for an sometimes elusive spot you may find this a bear)
A+ location. Parking was great, and a lot of life around the area. The house was impeccable, beautiful and held no surprises. I must say it's my best experience yet in Airbnb San Francisco. 10/10. Thanks Ryan!
I couldn't fault the apartment. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen fully fitted.
Parking was daunting to begin with, but thats because we come from another part of the world. After the clear instructions left by Ryan on best parking spots in close vicinity to the apartment - the rest was a breeze.
We travelled with our 9 and 10 year old and found the location great to walk to some of the cafe's and restaurants and Safeway Supermarket just up the road.
Love San Francisco! Great apartment Ryan!
Looking forward to going there again.
Great little place in Hayes Valley/Alamo Square. Ryan was quick to reply and easy to deal with. Recently renovated, everything was brand new.
A few things:
-Doesn't really sleep 5 - there are two queen size beds, and a couple couches. One guy in our group had to sleep on the floor, and there was only one extra blanket (and it was light; however, the fire place was helped tremendously).
-Nothing is really provided - had to buy toilet paper, and there are no toiletries/dish soap/laundry detergent. Only two full sized towels, we were lucky to have a beach towel we brought, but we ended up having to share towels/do laundry/use multiple smaller towels to dry off.
-No parking spot. Not really an issue, as there is parking in the surrounding area (unlimited time, except for days when street sweeping occurs).
Overall, was very pleased with the place. A couple blocks from the painted ladies at Alamo square, few blocks from some good restaurants and shops. Close proximity to the mission district with food/shops/bars.
One thing though - I would avoid parking on Grove st, east of Webster. On our last day there, we left the rental car on the 700 block of Grove, less than a block away from the place, for at most 15 minutes while we walked up to a convenience store to pick up stuff (at around 6pm). We returned to find our window broken and our bags stolen - stupid for us to leave a fully packed car of stuff on a sketchy street, but we didn't think twice as the windows were tinted and it wasn't late/there is decent foot/car traffic on the road. Other than that sour note at the end of our trip, SF was amazing and the place was nice.
Thanks to Ryan and his family for you're hospitality! Hope will have the chance to go back soon!
My sister and I, along with my two toddlers stayed at Ryan's place for a little weekend getaway to San Francisco. The place was stylish, immaculate and super family friendly! Great neighborhood with lots to do for both adults and kids (and easy parking!). Would very highly recommend!!
Ryan's parents stayed at my Russian Hill apartment during a visit to San Francisco to visit Ryan and his family during the holidays. They were respectful guests and took care of my place during their stay. I'd recommend them to other hosts in the Airbnb community and welcome them back again on their next visit to the City.
