Everything was just as expected from the photos. Wataru was really great! Despite a misfire of an email after landing, he met us promptly at the apartment, gave us a quick rundown on everything and we were all set. We emailed several times during the trip for Q&A about some of the local offerings and he always responded very quickly. Pocket WiFi? Oh yeah, that helped tremendously.
The location was perfect for us. We wanted a place not too touristy and noisy: check. Plenty of things to do in the vicinity like restaurants and bars in walking distance: check (tip: Hobgoblin is a must for anglo pub goers, closer to Asakasa station but still only like a 10-12 min walk). Chance to see the way people like us (urban, professionals) live in Tokyo: check. Close to metro and not too many connections to go anywhere: check. Really, this location was superb! And the view from the balcony was just the cherry on the top.
Highly recommend booking if you'll be spending more than a few days here and want a good balance of accessible location and non-tourist like surroundings.
Its a wonderful apartment on the topmost floor in the heart of Tokyo and close to two subway stations. The room is lovely and also has a walk in closet. So space wise it was quite luxurious for our family of three (considering tokyo hotels room sizes).
The room was kept clean and tidy. Since Wataru could not pick us up from the subway station he had a friend pick us up from there. Would highly recommend this apartment to everybody
My wife and I stayed 5 nights at Wataru's "Posh Akasaka, suite w/ PALACE VIEW Minato".
The apartment was everything we hoped for and true to web photos and information. It is a beautiful apartment (very modern, comfortable and with balcony and views) in a great position for accessing the nearby Shibuya, Shinjuku and Tokyo City Central areas. But also easy access to taxis trains and subways to go further afield. Close to shops and restaurants as promised. Portable WiFi is brilliant (thanks Wataru).
Wataru was extremely helpful during booking, and provided great information to get us there. Always very prompt in answering any queries prior to our arrival. As promised he was promptly available by phone during our stay.
We will return to this apartment next time if he will have us.
Nice apartment, well located, all what you could need is in there, clean and comfortable enough for two people. Wataru is always available and helpful.
Highly recommended in Tokyo, I had an excellent stay.
This is a great spot from which to explore Tokyo- a very nice, well-appointed apartment on a quiet street that's also central to anywhere you'd want to go. Having the pocket wifi is a huge bonus for navigating Tokyo- it just made it incredibly easy.
Wataru was an excellent host and is very thorough in his approach to the extent of labeling the workings of all his appliances in English (very useful when confronted with a Japanese washing machine and having no Japanese skills).
I would stay here again in a minute and we're already thinking about when we can get back for another visit...
We stayed for eleven days in total and had an amazing time. The apartment is on the 12th floor (the highest) so the views were spectacular, day and night. There was a large storage area as well as a modern bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The lounge/bedroom was perfectly sized and, despite being combined, never felt cramped.
The area was quiet and close to many local amenities, such as a 7/11, drug store, Starbucks and a liquor store. It's also only a few minutes walk to Moto-Akasaka Metro, providing great links to the rest of Tokyo.
Would stay there again and highly recommend.
Wataru was an excellent host and gave us good advice during our stay. The place was great and location really good since most areas of the city can easily and quickly be reached from the nearest subway station. I will definitely recommend staying at Wataru's place.
Wataru Hashida was a great host. My husaband got very sick on the train between Kyoto and Tokyo and he arranged to meet with us much later in the evening to check us in so my husband could see a doctor. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well organized and the perfect size for the two of us for the week. Its location was great, it was easy to find, and it was only a few blocks from the subway and a large area full of places to eat and drink. Also, since it was on a back street it was still very quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again
Wataru's apartment was the perfect place for our trip. We simply loved it, and Wataru was a fantastic and responsive host.
We chose this place because 1) it's new, 2) it's bright and has a beautiful view, and 3) it is central and in a nice, quiet area. It was very clean and besides all the great things already mentioned, having a washer & dryer let us pack a little lighter. We would love to stay there again!
Wonderful guests! Highly recommended!
