Elizabeth's place is truly wonderful: spacious, cozy, beautifully furnished and very children friendly. Elizabeth was super-nice, provided us with a high chair and plenty of toys for our toddler to play with. The neighborhood is great and full of amazing restaurants and charm. One of the very best places to be in NYC!
Response from Elizabeth:
so happy you enjoyed your selves! eliz
A really nice place in a great location, full of good wholefood stores and cafes and excellent transport links. I thoroughly recommend.
My colleague and I found this two-bedroom apartment in Park Slope / Prospect Heights a fantastic place to stay. The hosts communicated with us clearly about our reservation, and we found that the apartment appears just as described. The apartment is located on a quiet street but in a vibrant neighborhood with lots of activity. It also is near several subway stops and Crunch, where one-week gym memberships are available at a reasonable price.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and historic apartement. Children friendly environement and Manhattan can be reached easily by the subway. Thanks Elizabeth!
Loved this apartment...clean...comfy and great location♥♥♥
Roomy, clean apartment-comfy bed and great location.
My wife, baby, and I went to Brooklyn for what was supposed to be a weekend of reuniting with friends and family. Unfortunately, our little guy got the stomach flu on our first full day in NYC, and I quickly caught it as well. Elizabeth was very helpful and went above and beyond with information regarding pharmacies, pediatricians, car services, laundromats (yep...yuk), etc. She even brought up extra towels and spare clothing (her daughter's from some time before) in case we ran out. Even before our little guy caught the flu, Elizabeth had kindly included some kid's videos, games, and a space heater for his use.
The apartment is just as advertised - spacious and great location. It is an older building, and thus the floors are creaky. It did not bother us and did not wake up the baby. You cannot beat the combination of price, location, and host, and we would stay here again if we are ever feeling brave enough to head back to the city.
Elizabeth and her family were great hosts. All descriptions spot on. Checked in with us by phone on our arrival day and wanted to be sure all was perfect for check in. We were stuck during the storm during check out, and they graciously loaned me their snow shovel to dig out (8 inches, 14 on the plow side). All other positive review are spot on! Great access to all subway lines, was nice playing games like Mastermind with my 12 Y/O daughter. If you want to experience the city...without "experiencing the city", this apartment was a great retreat from the normal tourist mayhem of Manhattan. Thanks again Elizabeth hope to be back soon.
My friend, his mum and I stayed at Elizabeth's place for 2 nights during New Year's Eve and really enjoyed our stay. We did not get to see Elizabeth, but her instructions regarding the keys were very clear. The apt is clean, cozy and spacious, even for 3 adults. It's also close to the subway. We would not hesitate to go back there!
My mother became very ill a week before out planned New York trip. I had to cancel. Elizabeth was kind enough to allow me a credit. I salute her for her thoughtful, humane response when I was emotionally fragile. (Our trip was scheduled for Christmas week, my mom died on Christmas Day.)
La estancia de Elizabeth ha sido muy grata. El apartamento lo han tratado como si fuera propio. Cliente de absoluta confianza.
Elizabeth and family were great. One of the few guests I actually got to meet in person. Really helped me get my place to the next level, I would not hesitate to have them as guests or to have them host me in their Brooklyn home (if I didn't live there already) ! :)
Elizabeth is the warmest, most accommodating hosts you can imagine. Her apartment is bright and very comfortable, very well-appointed, large quiet bedroom overlooking the garden, and the coolest bathroom and tub! Moreover, it is located in Park Slope, the most vibrant neighborhood in Brooklyn, right by the best restaurants, bars and stores, as well as beautiful Prospect Park. No need to go into the city: Living in Elizabeth's floor-through apartment gives a real taste of why Brooklyn in more popular than Manhattan at the moment!
