I work in Corporate tourism both in New York and Miami. my clients are from France and Europe
I was born in Lyon , France, and live in the US for 10 years now.
We had a wonderful time at vero's appartment. The flat was very close to midtown (only10 minutes to walk to timesquare). Located at the 19th floor, it gives such a great view of the city in the morning and at night that we took hundreds of pictures...
It's true that compared to a small town in switzerland, it can be very noisy but we got quickly used to it and what else could we expect from the city that never sleeps?
Vero was very nice and willing to help and she speaks fluent french which was a great help when we communicated.
I would highly recommend vero and her flat for people wanting to have a great location in NYC, ideal for visiting or shopping.
The area is unsafe - my room looked nothing like the photos and I was uncomfortable with the fact that I did not know others living in the 4br apartment. You can hear loud music and parties from neighbors, and sometimes even fighting in the streets. DO NOT BOOK THIS ROOM!
We rented the condo for 12 days on October 2013. The condo was as described on the info sheet. However, there were few elements that unpleased us once we got there. There was rust on the side of the fridge, moisture on the bath curtain, some pieces of the vertical blinds were missing, unwashed plates and unwashed frying pan in the cupboards...Despite the fact that Vero paid for the cleaning, we think that it was not properly done. We found dust on the living room's floor and cigarette butts on the balcony.
Positive elements that we found is the nice pools and great view from the balcony. The localisation of the condo is good. There is a brand new washing machine in the condo.
We were disappointed with the general condition of the condo. We communicated with Vero to leave earlier and she agreed to accommodate us. She answered promptly and professionally. Even though she lives in New York, she manages with her partners living in Miami when needed.
Nice big apartment on the 19th floor with a wonderful balcony and a view to the city and to the river. The location was great, only short walk to everywhere (Central Park and Times Square etc.).
Kitchen was well equipped and new. Bathroom was good too. Bedroom and livingroom both were nice and big.
If i ever visit New York again, i would definately check if this place is available for renting :)
The reservation was canceled 172 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We stayed 10 days at Vero's apartment which is in an absolutely superb location! Its within 2 blocks of the subway and only a couple of blocks from Broadway and Time Square. The 19th floor apartment has a wonderful view with the Empire State building visible in one direction and the hudson river in the other.
Coming from suburban Auckland (New Zealand) we found it a little noisy but this is to be expected in the city that never sleeps.
We felt very safe in the neighbourhood, often arriving home after 12am and the building has a doorman on 24 hours. The neighbourhood of Hells Kitchen has some highly rated and well regarded eateries and bars to which we can attest.
The apartment is very comfortable with one bedroom and a full kitchen with separate living area and also has a good sized balcony. It has full air conditioning and a big screen TV all of which helped make our long stay very comfortable.
Vero is a fantastic and accommodating host who was full of great suggestions of things to do and places to see and while she was out of town when we arrived she ensured that we had immediate access and was very flexible with check-in and check-out.
We would highly recommend staying at Vero's apartment and look forward to getting back to New York in the future.
The Host (Veronique) was very responsive to all requests. The apartment is well maintained overall. Advantage(s): subway is 3 min away; Center of Manhattan is 30 min trip; well-picked tenants (very respectful roommates). disadvantage(s): very loud area (but it is the city afterall)
Vero was incredibly accommodating and made my first stay in New York a time to remember with my boyfriend! In fact, we are now in our second month here and have already signed a lease for another month. Whenever there was a problem, Vero did everything possible to make us feel comfortable. The room is spacious, in a safe area, there are affordable grocery shops at every corner, and this is the ideal place for a first time apartment. Vero offers a weekly cleaning service (only $15 dollars + a tip) and the place feels brand new every week. We were very lucky to find this apartment open and available and I highly recommend Vero's service!
