An American originally from Charleston, SC. I've been living in HCMC for six months, and before that I lived in Bali, Indonesia, for five years. I've worked an English teacher, content administrator/creator, and freelance editor.
Talk to me about grammar, yoga, Diet Coke, tennis, and Moleskines. Currently I'm obsessed with "The Blacklist," and I'm reading "The Happy Isles of Oceania" by Paul Theroux. I have no major food preferences other than "Brunch."
In five years as a Couchsurfer, I have an idea of what it is to be a good guest - I am clean, polite, friendly, and considerate. Haven't had a chance to travel much, but when I do travel I relax and don't try to max out my time. Since I've also helped my fiancé host people on Airbnb in Bali, I can see that a good host is helpful, empathetic, and respectful of personal space.
