My husband and I are traveling to BC to visit our son and daughter I law.
Julene's delightful house in the hills outside of San Francisco was absolutely gorgeous. We had gone on this vacation to see the sights in the area, but would have been just as happy to stay in the house and enjoy it.
This beautiful house has so many nice details that it is difficult to know where to start, but I'll try to point out my favorite things. The art work is absolutely incredible. The kitchen is so very beautiful with granite counter tops and fabulous appliances. The hard wood floors & fire place, as well as the stereo were lovely. The back yard was absolutely incredible, with a delightful deck and wicker furniture, as well as fountain and garden ornaments - - we would love to see it in the summer time - in full bloom. We could see that Julene had put a lot of thought and effort into this house.
Now for the bedrooms: we had difficulty deciding which one to use// The master bedroom was so beautiful and the bed was so very comfortable - like sleeping on clouds.
The small towns and hiking trails in the hills - close by were very fun and interesting to "hang out" in.
We really appreciate the opportunity to have stayed in such a lovely home during our Fabulous San Francisco Vacation||
The bath tub & shower are both beautiful & luxurious, as well.
Great value for this lovely luxury home.
Fantastic place. The home is adjacent to parkland with wonderful trails. The home is well represented in the listing. Fantastic kitchen for those who like to cook -- gas burners, convection oven. Home is highly recommended and transaction was very smooth.
The home was clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. The hosts took care of every detail to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.
Realmente, espectacular la casa, el barrio, la comodidad, todo el equipamiento, un lujo todo! Super recomendable!!!!
The home was beautiful and comfortable and so reasonably priced. Very relaxing sitting out on the large deck. The location was just a short drive to the city or to Napa. There is a ferry close by that was a pleasant way to get to Fishermans Wharf if you dont want to drive. The Warehouse was a fun place to hang out. Julene thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. We played some board games and looked through the many books and magazines, Everything in the house was spotless. I wouldnt have changed a thing. I would definately reccommend Julene's place to anyone looking for a great place to stay when visiting Northern California.
Julene and Mark are great! They were easily accessible when I called for questions as well as very accomodatng.
House - GREAT DEAL!!! The house was nicely decorated and very open. The backyard is very cute and they allowed us to use the BBQ grill during our stay. They beds were comfy (total of 4 beds - 2 queen/full, 1 day bed, and 1 full bunkbed).
Location - A little out of the way, very secluded, and road was scary at night if you are not use to driving on hills/curvy roads. It takes about 10 minutes to the freeway but once on freeway it is a GREAT location! 30 min to Napa, 45 min to SF, 15 min from Discovery Kingdom..
I would stay again if I had family visiting from out of town...or maybe rent just for a few days to have a family get together.
Everything was great! beautiful house near Napa for a great price.
Perfect location for our pilgrimage to Six Flags, Waterworld and Wine Country. Beautiful and comfortable home with everything you might need - in fact my kids say it is the house I should have bought.
This is a great place for cyclists as well as nature lovers. It is a great house only it had a lot of dust all around the house. The location was nice and quiet and not too far from many places to see. The host was nice and everything went well. It was a nice place to visit.
We had a lovely stay here "getting away from it all". The home is gorgeous and filled with a million tiny upgrades and interesting nooks. Julene has also done a lot to make you feel at home and comfortable while you stay there.
The home has some close-ish neighbors, but Port Costa is in the middle of a nature preserve. We enjoyed bringing groceries and playing hermit for a few days while we recharged physically and creatively. There also are some quaint nearby restaurants/shops. Julene left dozens of tour guides if you're feeling up for exploring.
Only caution is to not arrive in the dark on a rainy night if you can avoid it, as the last road in is fairly windy. It's spectacularly gorgeous in the sunshine though!
Guest didn't read terms and conditions for items provided for their stay, as well as the guest was upgraded at no cost to a beautiful suite (much nicer than originally booked) and later complained about it.
