Giacomo was a fantastic host for our stay in San Felice Circeo. Our villa was beautiful despite not being the original one we had booked. Location wise it could not have been better being walking distance to the beach & city centre and just a short drive to the old town and Porto. A fabulous place to visit & wonderful host! Our only annoyance was the very noisy dog next door.
Nice villa with small garden and BBQ place. Has three proper bedrooms. Hosts are very attentive and look after the garden. We really enjoyed the stay and would chose the place if went to Circeo another time
Experience started on a bad note. The night before we were to arrive, we were told that the listed appartment in Piazza di Spagna was flooded and that we were to be relocated to another location that I never picked initially.
The new place was clean and well located, but much smaller than the original location. I never met the host but only dealt with his agent, who was very helpful and friendly.
My only concern is that I just read another person's experience and she was told the same thing too, except earlier on. So it leaves me to think that this advertisement for Piazza di Spagna is a fake one, luring people to pay for it and be told last minute to go for a smaller and cheaper one, at the price of the more expensive one.
I booked the apartment a month before coming to Rome. Two days before my trip the host called me to inform me that the flat is flooded so I can take another one. The pics looked ok so I agreed, being frightened of not finding anything else because of the high season in Rome. The apartment we got was absolutely not what I payed for, it wasn't even similar to this one close to Piazza Navona. With its pitiful black-white IKEA design, it was exteremely claustrophobic, with destroyed furniture, with horrible bath full of the mold with a spicy smell, with shower door out of order, with lukewarm water not possible to take shower with. I never met the host live, he was always sending his agent, also when I had to beg him for a plumber to fix the boiler(!). What is more, the agent has shown me the invoice where was written that that apartment costed 300euro less than the one I payed for, and I didn't get my money back. What was the most insolent is what happend in the end - the agent came when we were absent and wrote farewell letter, in which stressed that we are supposed to wash the dishes because it is not included in the cleaning(!), notabene for which I payed 50euro extra. I feel cheated and I absolutely advice against not only this apartment which probabely doesn't exist, but for all apartments which does host rents.
I must admit that the location was good, in a cozy place between the tenement houses and St. Barbara church, with amizing view and Roman atmosphere.
