This home was exactly as is shown through pictures, maybe even cuter in person. It is spacious and decorated perfectly, very warm and inviting. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure in the showers are perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the darling neighborhood surrounding the bungalow and hope to return on our next visit to Austin.
Our stay was excellent. Kat responded quickly when I had a question about the rental agreement. Toiletries were high end, brita pitcher in the fridge, everything was perfectly clean. Things of note that are not necessarily clear from the listing but certainly were not a bother to us - there is no sink in the bathroom, you use the kitchen sink with a small make-up mirror mounted to the kitchen shelves (was not an issue at all, just not obvious from the listing), and access to the loft upstairs is either from the spiral staircase outside or via the awkward, vertical ladder inside. This was only an issue when getting out of the shower and going upstairs to dress. I wasn't going to take the outside stairs with just a towel around my waist, but that ladder (which can be seen on the right hand side of picture 8 looking into the bathroom) is pretty uncomfortable to use with no shoes. We also had our friend who lives in Austin come pick us up to show us some sights, and she had her 5 month old puppy with her on a leash. We wanted to show her the place, but were respectful to the property and one of us stayed outside with the dog. The dog was there for less than 10 minutes, but it still prompted a conversation with the front house tenant. Just be aware that the no pets policy is rather strict. These things did NOT take away from our stay in any sort of significant way, and I would absolutely re-book here, I only include them to give a full picture. The hayloft exceeded our expectations, and I almost feel bad putting anything even remotely negative in the review - if it was a star system it would still receive 5 stars.
Sweet house, great neighborhood, great hostess.
Absolutely everything was exactly as described. A little noisy in the morning with home construction across the street but, looked like they're about done.
When the remote to the Roku disappeared, Kat (our hostess) replaced the entire system with a new Apple TV unit. She was great.
The neighborhood is very quiet with an eclectic and lively scene of great restaurants, coffee joints, food trucks, etc, within a few blocks. The location is perfect in that it's perfectly situated to easily get pretty much anywhere in Austin.
Bottom line, 4 thumbs up (2 of mine and 2 of my sister's).
Beautiful place in a great neighborhood!
Kat was an incredible host and her Bungalow was PERFECT! Great (email hidden)e minute we dropped off our bags, we put on our running shoes and headed to Juiceland for a smoothie and a jog at Zilker Park. A perfect Austin evening. The house itself is immaculately clean, charming, and outfitted with a comfy hammock on a screened-in porch. Our stay couldn't have been better!
Excellent location, within walking distance for family of four (including 6 and 8 year old children) to visit First Street food trucks, Congress Ave bridge to view bats. Short drive to other areas and convenient. Neighborhood peaceful and friendly. Our children looked forward to visiting with the rabbits and chickens everyday. Did not realize from the photos that only inside access to the loft was via a ladder, stairs are outside. Overall a lovely rental and we would rebook in future.
Kat was super responsive, and the check-in process was great. Nice little welcome gifts fresh from the farm. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hayloft. The area is very central, just 5 minutes by car to the city, in a great, old neighborhood, close to excellent restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend this place!
Beautiful property with a warm and inviting charm to it. It is located within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and shops on Congress and 1st street areas. Kat was very accommodating and I would definitely stay again.
This house was perfect for our "girl's weekend"! It was so welcoming and absolutely adorable.
Nice neighbourhood, great place, helpful with local recommendations and flexible checkin time.
