This house is in THE perfect neighbourhood. What a wonderful visit.
Thank you so much for your hospitality! You made our engagement weekend even more special.
Great apartment, in a great location!
This was a great place for my son and I to stay during our week in Portland this year. The futon converted into a workable second bed. The location is hard to beat for being a short walk to a New Seasons, some cafes, and breakfast places. There was plenty of space and the kitchen to cook in. The street is relatively quiet and while there were some train horns in the distance late at night, I didn't hear them after the first night (probably got accustomed to it). Excellent communication and availability for questions. Recommended.
MacKenzie's apartment is adorable, convenient and very comfortable. It was great for a long weekend in Portland, walking distance to a coffee shop, market, and bus line. Thank you again!
My friend and I decided this must be an apartment that is lived-in by the owner, and was vacated for the rental period. We were disappointed to be faced with the dirty floors, rugs, kitchen appliances, bathtub and shower curtain. The toilet seat moved when you sat on it until we fixed it. We ended up wondering why we were paying a cleaning fee.
On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, the bedding was lovely and warm, and we slept really well. The location is very convenient to getting around Portland. It would be a good place to stay if it was given a good cleaning.
Mackenzie has a really beautiful little spot - great old charming house. It's tucked in a nice neighborhood with cafes, restaurants and a cinema- close to bus stops too.
Reliable, kind and generous host - Thanks Mackenzie
Staying at Clinton Street Love was wonderful! The place was adorable and comfortable. The living room space has a futon-style couch that folds down and there's enough room for an air mattress next to it if you need a bit more sleeping space. We had no problems keeping in touch before/during/after our reservation and stay. Wifi worked without issue, plenty of street parking available, plenty of hot water. The only potential downside is no TV screen - which I wasn't at all concerned with at time of booking because who goes on vacation to watch tv.. but then the weekend turned into PDX Snopocalypse 2K14! - and as such we stayed indoors more than we'd planned. My group thought it would have been nice to watch some movies together, but we had a laptop that we watched some videos on instead and found other ways to spend our downtime. No big deal, just a heads up to bring a laptop or similar if you think you might want to watch movies during downtime.
Mackenzie's place was great! It's in a cool little neighborhood with a bunch of good bars and restaurants, plenty of parking, and an awesome eye-wear store all within a few block walk. I was getting in late but she made the key exchange incredibly easy and sent me a text with a few helpful hints of were to find some of the light switches. My girlfriend and I loved it and would happily stay here again
My friend and I had a great stay at the apartment even though we weren't "home" much. It's just as advertised and you couldn't ask for a better location. The SE Clinton/Division neighborhood is one of the best in Portland and the apartment is within walking distance to everything. The apartment itself is funky and very Portland, but probably not suited for more than one couple or two individuals, but it was just fine for my friend and me. There's no TV and no microwave, but we didn't require those amenities. The upside is that it's a private apartment so you're not sharing the place with anyone else, and of course the location. MacKenzie was responsive and great to deal with even though we did not meet her. The downside, if there is one, is that it's a bare-bones no frills pad. If you're used to staying in hotels and professionally managed rentals, this is a different experience. We will definitely consider this place again next time we're in town!
Mackenzie was a wonderful host--very open in communication and accommodating of our schedules. Her place is beautifully decorated and incredibly close (minutes by foot) to many fantastic coffee shops, bars, restaurants and shops on clinton & division. We wish we had stayed longer just to explore the surrounding neighborhood; would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Portland!
Relaxed and laid back guest. Would have appreciated if she didn't leave the aircon on with the windows wide open when she left the house though.
Mackenzie was a great guest that we would be happy to have back anytime. 5 stars!
MacKenzie was a so very kind, quiet, responsible and considerate guest, besides being very enthusiastic about delving deeply into local culture during her stay; a real pleasure to have! I'd have her back in a wink! To all hosts on airbnb, host her!!!!!!!!!!!
Mac is a beautiful free spirit. She is a kind and considerate host, with a gorgeous place in the heart of true Portland. Don't miss it!
I recommend Mackenzie to other members of Airbnb because she is truly a magnificent traveler and host. She has a beautiful home in Portland that she keeps very clean and cozy in one of my favorite neighborhoods- walking distance to all kinds of amazing restaurants and bars and the local coop. She is a an avid traveler and understands how nice it feels to lye your weary bones in a comfy zone and rejuvenate. She is a responsible traveler that enjoys adventure and being conscious of culture , getting to know the local people is of utmost importance to her. She is friendly, smart and present- and is a great communicator. I would recommend Mackenzie as a host or guest anyday.
