Hi my name is Marinus. I was born Dutch and moved to Denmark 37 years ago. I speak English, Dutch and Danish fluently. I have a son and a daughter. Welcome!
Spending holiday in gislev/surroundings (very restful and untouched landscape) had been a great experience! Marinus offered us a really cozy and sweet accomodation in one of his guest rooms where it was possible to use a little kitchen unit and separate bath room for ourselves (and other guests).
if you wanna discover the surrounding country and towns, just ask him - we guess there is a lot to tell! :-)
Marinus housing, furnishing and lovely Bekka is worth a visit, communication was easy going, we would keep doing it!
thank you so much, we had a very good time.
Marinus is a wonderful host. Everything was prepared with careful consideration, the beds, the furniture etc. The breakfast prepared was sumptuous! Thanks you Marinus, my family had a great time staying with you! Cindy
Marinus has a quiet place to stay in rural Denmark. He speaks five languages and was helpful to us on our four day visit to tourist attractions in Denmark. There are so many bike paths close--some with lights, which I have never seen in the USA--that I hope Marinus buys some bikes to rent. Nearby Gislev has a fairly large grocery store open 7 days per week.
The rental unit has a large dining/living area on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. Although I have asthma, the dust was quite tolerable. The kitchen is large and includes a table. It could use a few more utensils. There are more than enough dishes.
Outside are chairs and shade to read or talk. Marinus is always available if you need assistance.
Marinus was a great host, very friendly and welcoming.
Great place, very quiet and lovely for us as a stop in between Holland and Sweden.
Please be aware that the fact that Marinus might not be a computer whizzkid, and his written English isn't great (spoken is fine!) has nothing to do with the fact that he doesn't want to accept your booking or is not keeping his calendar up to date (because he is quite organized)... :-)
Just confirm again by sending him a message and ask him if he can click the 'accept booking' button.
