Absolutely an awful experience!
On arrival, we asked the person who booked us in for a recommendation for lunch. The place that he suggested was shut down and looked like it hadn't been open for years. We had to walk another kilometer before we found another place to eat.
On asking for hot water for a shower, the staff refused and said that there was no gas to even heat up a bit of water
That night, I looked up the booking which included AC as a facility but the AC in the room was not working. When asked, the staff was extremely rude and told us that that was an option, not a facility and was asked to pay extra for the AC.
Pretty much decided to ignore the staff from then on except that the manager was sitting with his friends getting drunk in a common space. Hard to ignore when you have to use the common space to get access to the promised wifi.
In general, we had a decent stay only because we completely ignored the management and tried to make our way ourselves. It is a miracle we survived 2 nights there.
The room we were assigned, had nothing to offer except some threadbare bed sheets. The bathroom did not even have soap, forget TP. And the place was overrun with lizards. I am not sure that plastic bathroom doors qualify as heritage.
It is not that we were looking for the cheapest deal. We stayed in another property via air b n b in Cochin that was priced similarly except that the service and hospitality made it the highlight of our one week trip in Kerala.
Please stay away.
