An avid adventurer, aspiring activist, and chronic sufferer of wanderlust, I am constantly in search of the next potential travelogue entry.
Born and bred in New York, NY, I spent summers in Shanghai – my parents’ hometown – and extensive time abroad, studying philosophy and languages in Scotland, India, Germany, and England.
I speak fluent German and Shanghainese, decent Spanish, and aspire to brush up on my (now) very rusty French and Italian. I studied Portuguese to prepare for a surfing and climbing adventure in Rio de Janiero, Brazil in 2010.
A budding mountaineer, I bagged my first peak last January, having successfully summited the South East Face Normal Route of Mount Kenya via Nelion peak @ 5188 meters. My alpine fantasies include summitting the Rwenzori Mountains and Pequeño Alpamayo (Condoriri Group) in Uganda and Bolivia respectively. Oh, and Ama Dablam in the Himalayas too, somday...
5 things I can't live without: my passport, smartphone, moleskine, a fine pen, and a fine wine.
