Marie was very kind. She is a very good host. The place is very well located. You are a few minuted walk from everywere.
The stairs will be a problem with huge laggage.
The place is very bright and quiet.
We loved the apartment in the middle of the city. Great lifestyle in the hearth of Paris, with a superb bakery around the corner, and of course lots of other excellent food stores, as well as restaurants and bars. Outside it is lively during the day and evenings, but the master bedroom is in the back where it is amazingly quite – you could believe that you are on the countryside!
Check-in was no problem, communication with the hosts was easy. The kitchen is well equipped because Marie actually lives there when she isn't renting out the place. We even found an espresso machine and coffee – very welcome for java addicts like myself.
Wifi – always an issue it seems. Most French hosts seem to leave the wifi router untouched, which means you have to enter a massive number of letters and digits into your device to authenticate. Between my wife, my daughter and myself we brought 6 devices – typing in the same code 6 times makes a hard man crumble (given that it is nearly impossible to get it right the first three times) Additionally, wireless LAN was turned off, for whatever reason. All these routers have a button to turn on/off the wireless access. If you can't see the LAN in your wifi menu, that is probably why. Simply go the the router (routers are usually found close to the phone lines, so start looking there) and press the button, and all is fine. Finally, enter the code without and spaces (for whatever reason, the official docs list the code with spaces) and in all CAPS. Type the access key in an editor, double check it is correct, then copy it to your wifi authentication box. This way, you'll spot any errors easier.
So a lot about wifi, because some reviewers had issues with it, and I can completely understand why. But once set up, it worked like a charm, with a great connection, and made our planning so much easier.
Another tip: if you want to visit Eiffel tower, make sure you book online well in advance (weeks!). Or be ready to queue for hours, which we weren't. Then again there is so much too see! And lots of good stuff in walking distance.
Great place, I would have no concerns going there again.
Convenient apartment accurately depicted in photos. Good light and pleasant atmosphere in convenient location. Would be great to have wifi.
The apartment is spacious nice and clean, very conveniently located with a walking distance to Louvre and Pompidou.
There is no wi-fi, however there is a computer connected to internet that you can use.
If you have a heavy luggage you may need some help as the apartment is on the second floor with no elevator.
Marie is a great host, we had no problem to arrange our stay.
