I teach sixth-eighth graders at an expeditionary, place-based 6-12 grade school in Boulder, Colorado. My passion as a teacher is to build students’ willingness and confidence to figure things out for themselves. We're currently learning about how culture influences what we choose to eat and how, in turn, that affects our health and environment.
When I'm not consumed with school, I love any outdoor adventure involving hiking or rivers, especially discovering hot springs. I'm an avid contra dancer. I play cello and sing African songs with a group called 1000 Voices. On a Saturday morning I'll be out looking for curiosities at garage sales or prepping some cool science lab.
