Staying at Zak's place was seamless and easy. First, he was great answering questions about his place before I booked. Then he put together a great comprehensive document with all the details of the apartment and surrounding area. He offered his apple tv and other media for us to watch and use during our stay. He provided clean sheets and clean towels for us to use. We were even greeted with free 1 hour passes to rent bikes on the beach in Santa Monica. Also, the price was competitive.
Furthermore, the location of his apartment is optimal: only 3 short blocks to main st with bars, restaurants, and only one more block to the beach.
The only downside was he could have done a better job of sweeping the hardwood floors and cleaning the bathroom.
Otherwise, a great stay.
Zak, and for a brief time, his wife were great guests, very self reliant, respectful, quiet, and easily communicative. I highly recommend him/them as guests. They successfully transitioned to San Francisco from southern California and found more permanent housing a few blocks away.
Zak and his wife were great guests. They were very quiet around the house and left it clean. They were respectful of my home and easy to work with. I'd be happy to host them again any time.
Zak was great! I would have him back anytime. Clean, friendly and respectful. Thanks for visiting Zak.
Didn't get a chance to meet Zak personally, but from what I was told he was a great guest. He was great with all communication, very clean and respectful of the property. I would gladly host him again and recommend him to other hosts.
Zak and I met in college in one of the most inhospitable of places: the dorm. Despite the squalor (only joking, it wasn't THAT bad), Zak had a bright personality and infectious energy. He was the life of the party and always had a good story to tell. Over the years (and after the dorms) Zak took an interest in exploring other cultures. After graduation, he lived and worked in Japan for three years. There, he immersed himself in Japanese culture, adopting many of the customs, particularly hospitality and respect. He became an expert traveler while living abroad, exploring Asia and embracing the diverse cultures of the continent.
Upon returning the US, the Zak I knew in college had become an even more refined, worldly and gracious person. At various events surrounding the wedding of a mutual friend (also from the dorms), Zak continued to be the life of the party. This time, he regaled us with stories of incredible experiences, showed us photos of breathtaking landscapes and described the people he met with reverence and gratitude.
I cannot recommend Zak highly enough as a guest. Without a doubt, he will communicate clearly and consistently, follow up in a timely manner and, most importantly, treat your home with respect. He may start off as a guest, but I won't be surprised if he ends up a friend.
