Thanks so much, you guys were great guests and welcome back anytime. As well, I do have a guide book on my air bnb site (locations are also highlighted on the map), of my own personal favourite attractions, The Segwun, Torrence barrens, antique shops, Canoe restaurant in Washago etc. check them out! Oh, and if you like beer, there is this great brewery called 'Sawdust City' that just opened in Gravenhurst, (I promise not to disappoint!) it has an excellent food truck too, with "Black River Food's, but I haven't been able to link it to my site yet (not linked to the Almighty gogle yet). Anyhoo, hope this helps for next time :)
There was a power outage on the day this guest arrived caused by a severe thunderstorm. This is a very rare occurrence, and I would like future guests to know this was an extenuating circumstance. I gave this guest the option of checking out with refund both days, but they choose to stay, knowing the cabin would be without power.
I then offered my 3 bedroom house for their exclusive use, provided water, ice, and lanterns which the guest happily accepted. After the weekend (after checking out), she contacted me asking for a partial refund, which I provided. I do wish this guest could have told me they were unhappy during their stay, and I felt it unfair to ask me for money after they checked out. I would definitely prefer guests being upfront during their stay. I always strive to help my guests feel as comfortable as possible with good communication. As for the BBQ, it works perfect, and I have had no complaints from any guests.
