Caroline and I loved our stay with Brian! Aside from being extremely welcoming and accommodating with his beautiful home in Sylvan Heights, he was full of great advice for getting started in Portland. Thoroughly enjoyed both home and host.
We had a great time at the Swedish Stuga. The space was warm and inviting. It was rustic, and had the added bonus of modern amenities. I recommend this listing!
The only word to describe this place is magical. A couple of girls and I booked this place for my sisters birthday. We stayed two days and really took advantage of all the stuga had to offer. We went on hikes where I swear we spotted at least 10 different kinds of mushrooms. We found a fire pit feet away from the trout creek where we built a fire and listened to the rushing creek. I highly recommend staying here! I will be back.
The Swedish Stuga is a beautiful, rustic home in a magical, rustic setting. The rushing river, wild flower meadows, forest trails, and stone patio contribute to an relaxing and amazing stay.
Brian stayed in our place for 2 nights and he was a great guest. It was very nice, courteous and friendly. We would definitely recommend Brian to future hosts!
Hosting Brian is great. He's not only a nice guy and gentle soul, he was generously willing to spend time to figure out a tech problem I was having, for which I am grateful. I felt bad that it took much more time than originally expected, and told him so, but he just laughed it off and seemed genuinely willing to help. I'd like to extend a free stay to repay him for his effort. Anyway, I have no hesitation recommending him as a guest. I have no doubt that this young man is going to go far and be a big success one day.
Brian was very friendly, easy to talk to, and brought treats from the bakery down the street! He was very clean and respectful of the apartment. Would recommend and host again!
