The apartment was as advertised, close to all points of interest. This is a managed apartment, never met Bianca only Ana Claudia who was helpful on check in. The bathroom sink was clogged upon arrival I texted Ana with the problem. Although there was no response to my text the problem appeared to be fixed upon our return that day. The mattresses on the beds are very firm, and the hot water tends to run out quickly. We were late on check out due to unexpected events which overlapped with another clients arrival, Ana was pleasant enough on handling this delay. Overall good experience
Perfect central location in the middle of the action ! Street is busy but windows were soundproof - plumbing a little puzzling but unit was clean and neat. Somewhat plain and dated - however we were met late (for an additional charge) and found everything as promised. Would stsy there again
Nice apartment in the heart of Rome. Rooms looked just like in the pictures, nice and clean. Only one of the shower heads was quite dirty. If you're used to sleep with the windows open, please note that the street can be quite noisy. For the rest, great spot.
Great apartment!!! We arrived early on Sunday and was met and let in within 30 minutes of calling Bianca. Wi-fi works great….5 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with an elevator. Kitchen was small but we didn't go to Italy to cook. I highly recommend this apartment and would rent it again if I go back to Rome. It was a block from the Spanish steps and the Spagna metro station which was perfect. It was walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and The Pantheon. It is in an upscale neighborhood with designer shopping and restaurants. Perfect stay!!
Cara Bianca, il soggiorno a Roma era molto bello, ci siamo trovati bene nel appartamento Via Leone IV, perfettamente situato presso al Vaticano e alla metro. L'appartamento è piacevole, luminoso, i letti confortabili. Per me era la prima esperienza Airbnb e sono certa di rifarla ancora. Grazie
Response from Bianca:
E stato un piacere ospitarvi, grazie di aver scelto questo apartamento, grazie di aver scelto Airbnb.
The first thing that we wish to mention is that we never met "Bianca", the person whom we had been corresponding with before our arrival. However, the young man who met us at the apartment was very helpful and gave us much information about the different areas in Rome, the transportation and suggested some restaurants. He was very gracious. We were even able to arrange our airport taxi pick-up through him.. Very reliable.
The apartment was clean, huge bedrooms and well-equipped. The location was fantastic- very close to the Trevi Fountain, many restaurants, cafes, shops and walking distance to the subway. The only drawback that we found (however, we realize this is common in Europe) was the plumbing. Low water pressure in the toilet and the shower stall clogged up a few times. All things being considered, it was a perfect location for us (2 "senior" couples) and offered a comfortable stay. It was as advertised- two huge bedrooms with double beds.
The street is a very small street and the address is not clearly written on the the door/building, so make sure you get very clear directions and keep your eyes open for the street name (faded out on the building) and apartment address!

After reading some quite negative reviews on the Airbnb site I was rather worried about this apartment. I guess it's just proof that reviews in general and reviews from unknown sources in particular have to be taken with a grain (and sometimes with a box) of salt. When I walked into the apartment, I was very pleasantly surprised. It looks exactly like the pictures.
It is true, as someone mentioned, that it's a one bedroom apartment. Having said that, the apartment, with it's three sitting areas, is enormous by European standards....about 120 square meters or 1300 sq. feet. Both of the side sitting areas can be completely closed off and have nice sofa beds. So, if you're lookin for something with 3 dedicated bedroom, look further.
Also, I can imagine the the decoration is not to everyone's taste. We decided to call it classical kitsch. Having said that, we thought it was quite successful as design, incorporating lots of colors and styles, but still coming up with a cohesive style. And, after all, you're not buying the damned thing!
For the rest, everything worked. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook a lovely meal. And with the very ample cutlery and many glasses and dishes, serve it in style in the rather glamorous dining room.
It true that the water boiler is a little bit eccentric... sometimes varying from cool to hot, but in the end it gets the job done. Also, though the location is fantastic, it isn't the quietest place in Rome. But, at 23.30 on night, after a fabulous dinner, we ventured out to Panella (100 meters) and bought bottles of Bollinger and delicious chocolates, which we brought back for desert..... Try this is a lot of other cities and you'll end up eating at a snack bar at this time of the night.
Also, the airco and internet worked perfectly, the towels were of good quality and last, but certainly not least, the communication with everyone, the check-in and check-out went flawlessly. Everyone couldn't have been nicer.
I travel all over the world constantly for my work and stay regularly in 5 star hotels.... often in their suites. Though this apartment has a few slightly rough edges, it more than compensates in other ways. And the price.... in the centre of Rome for so much space is astounding!
Communication with "Bianca" was smooth. Upon arrival to Rome I called from the airport as instructed; the man on the other end was a bit rude. He wasn't expecting my phone call and even asked me what address I was staying at. Once we figured everything out we set a meet time at the apt. Outside the apt we met two very pleasant women (there was a bit more confusion about whether they were there to let us in or another group from Airbnb... We recognized the apt, so it was determined that we were the correct group of six)
Basically there is a small business that rents out rooms through the website and their communication can be improved.
The apartment was very clean, appeared as advertised, great location, easy walk from the train station, the two women gave us a map and talked with us about where to visit, they were open to questions and weren't in a rush. The apt easily accommodates 6 to sleep (one true bed/bedroom=very quiet. Two foldout couches in 2 separate living spaces that can be closed off with doors= loud...drivers in Rome LOVE honking) 2 toilets, 1 shower.
Our last day, the hot water went out. We didn't call for assistance or find the pilot light but at check-out the nice women told us we should have called for help (our bad). We also couldn't manage to get the stove to work. No microwave, but a small toaster-oven that we didn't figure out either. Fully stocked kitchen. Washing machine. Small courtyard.
We had a nice stay and were relieved that the women who let us in were so pleasant. The apt was a very nice place to return to after exhausting days on the streets of Rome. I would recommend this apartment.
Th apartment is in a very good and central location - walking distance to some of great sights in Rome. All our questions were answered promptly. The apartment was well furnished, clean and comfortable.
Fabulous location, so very close to Trevi Fountain and loads of fabulous bars, restaurants and shops. We were able to walk to all the major tourist highlights. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Thanks also for being so flexible with our early check-in.
