Hallo, I live and work in Tuscany and I love this place.
We could not have been more pleased with our accommodations in Emanuela's apartment. It was wonderful, and I'd say that the description did not convey how great it really was. The flat was very spacious and exceptionally well equipped for our one month's stay. It was easy to prepare meals in the kitchen, the beds were comfortable, the living space large and comfortable, but the best feature was the wrap around balcony that was ideal for dining. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and residential in nature, ideal for those looking for a more authentic experience in this lovely city. It was only a short walk (5 minutes) to the tram stop (which runs from too early in the morning till midnight). While restaurants are not abundant locally, the tram got us anywhere we wanted to go to eat. Local markets were close for provisioning for dining in. While we were not able to meet Emanuela, her family took care of our arrival and departure in a most welcoming manner. The one and only glitch in our stay involved a slightly incorrect map location on the AirBnB web site, so confirm the exact address with Emanuela once you have booked. We loved our stay in Padua, and if we are lucky enough to return, we will most assuredly stay in Emanuela's flat! This was our best AirBnB experience yet, and all of them have been good so far.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment! It was very clean and comfortable. So nice to have a.c. when it is hot! Emanuela's in-laws met us and showed us around the apartment. Very nice people! The apartment is a little ways from downtown although there is a good transit system in Padua. Our first night we had a little trouble finding a close place for dinner. Once we figured out how to take the tram it was easy to get downtown. Emanuela has put together a binder of information that was very helpful! It was also very easy to take a train to Venice for a fabulous day trip!
We loved staying in this very large 2 bedroom apartment. We were most graciously greeted by Emanuela's in-laws, who explained where everything was. The apartment is in a quiet family neighborhood. We both saw sights in Padua, especially the Arena chapel, and went to Venice twice. (Venice is too crowded and the food is too touristy for my tastes; Padua is a better place to stay.) A book that the hosts left gives much information about the area. We parked our car in the back of the building. Excellent shower w ample hot water. An excellent apartment and hosts!
Emanuela was very welcoming and helpful providing us with good information. Her place was very spacious, functional, clean and felt very homey. The tram was close by and ran frequently, and will get you anywhere in the city. If I were staying in Padua again, I would return here.
We were warmly greeted by Emanuela's in-laws at the apartment. They made us feel very welcome.
Tutto perfetto come da descrizione, la casa è comodissima e anche in 4 persone si sta benissimo. Emanuela è una host premurosa e disponibile!
At Padova in Italy we spent four weeks in this big comfortable top floor apartment in October-November. It was late Autumn but very warm, most mornings a little misty or foggy but on clear days we could see the Alps with enlarging white snow caps over the town in the horisont. Very beautiful!
The flat is large with very big and long terrace or balcony. Modern flat and it was comfortable enough to feel home. The house was quiet and warm. Neighbours were real Italians and talkative even in English, if needed.
Trams are running to the stations and city center often and quickly. It is five minutes walk to the tram stop. By train yuou can travel very often in half an hour to Venice, or Vicenza, or Belluno, or Ferrara and to many other towns which are two or three thousand years old with very old ruins and buildings from fortresses to palaces and churches. Very interesting.
Padova itself is small but magnificant town and full of memories from antica up till our days. You can spend many days walking in the old town along charming narrow streets and paths.
The flat serves well as a base for all those trips to surrounding areas. And it is important that it serves very well travellers who want to visit Venice but do not want to pay everywhere Venice extras.
The flat is in residential area. You have to walk 100 - 200 metres, yards, to the shops. They are well stocked with ordinary international and Italian food and wines, of course.
And the tap water is drinkable.
We have good memories. Thanks to the owners!
