We spent a very nice week in NY in Charles apartment.
The apartment is very well located and very well furnished.
It is even better than what it looks like in the photos.
Charles was very responsive to all our requests.
I recommend it for any family stay in NY
We had a great time staying in Charles' apartment, which is perfectly situated for museums and shows as well as the Highline and other attractions. Charles was there to welcome us on our arrival and show us around. He is a very thoughtful host and the wine, coffee and pretty flowers were a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. We also took advantage of his restaurant recommendations and found Charles' shopping and other tips very useful. I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment, which was clean, extremely comfortable and well appointed. The view from the roof terrace is spectacular and is an added bonus. Thanks Charles for being an excellent host. It was our first time using Airbnb and we were pleasantly surprised.
Charles is an amazing host, so helpful and kind. He makes you feel like at home. The apartment is wonderful, so beautiful and huuuge! every details are great, the flat is furnished with very high quality products. Beds are similar as 5 star hotels one, kitchen can't be better, laundry area is a plus.. actually nothing can be better. It is even less than 10mn walk to M&Ms shop in Times Square.
Charles thank you again for buying a baby crib !!!!
The place was great. Clean and in a really good location. About ten minute walk from Times Square and 15 mins from Central Park. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. All within walking distance. Spectacular 360 view on the rooftop. Would recommend this place.
I took my wife and two teenage daughters for a week's stay in Manhattan for the girls winter break. We chose Charles' apartment based on size and location. The apartment was beautiful, with a big, spacious and sunny kitchen with updated appliances, the type you don't normally see in NYC walk ups! The contemporary artwork was all very nice. When we arrived late at night Charles was there to greet us and get us acclimated, and the fridge was stocked with beer, wine and sparkling water. The location is very convenient to midtown and Times Square, so it's a great place for both business and pleasure (I did some of both). Charles was both attentive to our needs and respectful of our privacy. The apartment had all of the amenities promised and more. Little touches like Fresh flowers impressed my wife as well.mmthe apartment was also very clean and well maintained. I would stay there again, and thought it to be a good value for the money. I only wish it had been warm enough to enjoy the roof deck a bit... Thanks, Charles for a great place to show my girls Manhattan from! Cheers!
Kermit and his family were a pleasure to host! They were timely with communication and were respectful of the property. I highly recommend them to other hosts and hope to host them again myself.
The apartment was wonderful. Just as described and although Charles was not able to meet us upon arrival, his substitute was there and answered all of our questions. It is decorated very nicely. Perfect location for the theater and nearby attractions. We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed with flowers, wine and coffee. We would recommend this lovely apartment to anyone visiting New York.
Staying at apartment 3 was a dream. Charles rushed from the subway in the New York cold to greet us and show us around his perfectly styled abode, along with gifting us a bottle of red wine and a packet of quality coffee - the way to our hearts! My husband and I stayed here with two of our friends for four nights and immediately felt right at home. The apartment is well situated (only a few blocks from Times Square) with easy walking distance to any restaurants, to hailing a cab, or catching the subway to wherever your heart desires (there is naturally so much to explore). Apt 3 is Super comfortable, spacious, and well styled. The bedrooms are small but cosy and essentially all you need considering the rest of the apartment is so well sized.
A few things to note:
- we only had one roll of toilet paper so had to go out and buy some more.
- stairs are really narrow, so watch your step.
- on the listing it mentions "access to washing machine / dryer", I don't believe this is in apt 3 as we couldn't find it but assuming you could text Charles to show you where it is.
Apart from those few things, all was absolutely perfect. And that rooftop - INCREDIBLE. Go up and check it out. The views are pretty special.
Charles was a great host and I had a wonderful time staying at his apartment! While I didn't didn't interact with him in person too much as he was away during my arrival, he was very helpful and quick at responding to messages! The apartment itself was also great - it's located in an ideal spot of Hells Kitchen. Relatively quiet for NYC but only a few blocks away from some great bars and restaurants! If I find myself in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate rebooking the apartment :) Thanks for a great trip Charles!
The apartment was accurately described and worked very well for two couples from different generations. The view from the rooftop garden was spectacular and we were able to see some of the NYE celebrations in Times Square from the roof. We enjoyed the interesting artwork in the apartment and generous provisioning of kitchen and bathroom needs. The bottles of wine and bag of coffee beans left for us on arrival were a lovely touch.
The heating was effective, and the entertainment system provided plenty of variety and no headaches - Netflix is always a bonus!
The location was perfect. We walked to the theatres, Central Park, MOMA and shopping. There is great diversity in the restuarants and Delis close to the apartment , but we also found it easy to access recommended restaurants in Harlem and the East village using both taxis and the Metro.
Charles had to leave unexpectedly before we arrived. Nevertheless, we were able to access the apartment easily and communicate effectively throughout our stay.
Amazing apartment. When we arrived There was a welcome bottle of wine waiting on the table. Charles was great and would recommend spots to see or eat.
Rooftop terrace was spectacular!
I don't think there's a better place to stay in Manhattan for the price/location.
Would definitely recommend !
Charles was a pleasure to communicate with from the day he reserved with me. We had many texts and messages between us and he always responded right away when I reached out to him.
I did not meet him personally, but my caretakers said he was a great guy and enjoyed him too.
Charles is a wonderful guest and is very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend him!
Charles is a wonderful host and very accommodating. His home in BelAir is gorgeous and secluded yet close to a lot of things in LA. The house has a lot of character and beautiful furniture and artwork. The hottub and pool are wonderful and overall had an amazing, relaxing time staying here. Would definitely recommend it!
