Me and my husband are two low-key guys who have our own little media company (TV, websites, social marketing, indie film, web series) and love New York City!
The Huz is very sweet and rather quiet, a math and history brainiac who was a project manager for a huge tech company until we were able to both work for our own business full-time about 3 years ago. He knows everything there is to know about every daytime and primetime serial drama ever made, has dozens of close friends from popular TV shows, and recently has appeared as a talking head in the documentary film "Soap Life" and made a cameo in James Franco's art film "Francophrenia." Here he is on IMDB: (URL HIDDEN)
He also has an encyclopedic knowledge of the NFL and is so enthusiastic about the Atlanta Falcons that he converted me. I'm now a huge football fan, too. When he's at home, he's at his desk in the bedroom. He works almost 24-7 for the business, on-call at least, but at least he gets to do it in his PJ's much of the time.
As for me, I work about 40 hours a week for our business, handling the event planning our digital marketing clients. Through our LLC, I'm the "voice" of a few NYC small-business brands on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).
I love to listen to library books-on-mp3 (mostly history, current events, and biography) and clean/organize. I also love theater, football, sailing, hiking, swimming, skiing, pottery/ceramics, new technology, and making/building things. I find few things more satisfying than assembling a friend's new furniture, fresh from Ikea. If I were to choose a favorite solo activity, it would be long-distance (10-30 miles) biking/skating. But I'm also big on reading.
It is true I went to Harvard for college, but I'm actually very different than the Harvard stereotype,in that I'm pretty laid-back and down to earth. Which I think is pretty much summed up by my major, which was heavy on the visual arts and design (although the other half was all math and physics). The huz, being a math genius, was a Computer Science major, but also History.
He's from a tiny town outside Nashville while I'm from a suburb north of Boston. We both love to wander around NYC exploring different neighborhoods by foot, especially after downloading historic walking tours from the internet.
