I love traveling. I have hosted couchsurfers/travelers, I've backpacked overseas, driven across the U.S. three times, volunteered abroad with a medical foundation, etc. I moved to Nashville from California (San Francisco Bay Area) last year. I'm originally from rural Kentucky and grew up on a large family farm, but I've been traveling and/or living on the West Coast for nearly a decade.
I work full-time and I'm a part-time student. I'm fairly non-conventional and live a minimalist lifestyle. I love the idea of tiny homes, sustainability and living small.
I try to be healthy, practice mindful living, seek personal growth, be physically active and I'm constantly learning whether it's in the classroom or through experiential ways. I've been to many universities all over the country and studied a wide array of subjects.
I enjoy creativity, music, art, science, the medical field, philosophy, spirituality, stand-up comedy, outdoors/nature, writing, nutrition, integrative/holistic health care and food culture.
My favorite place is Big Sur, California. I was a work-scholar at the Esalen Institute. I worked in their farm-to-table kitchen and took a course in transpersonal psychology while waking up to the Pacific Ocean everyday.
I enjoy meeting all kinds of people/walks-of-life especially authentic, kind, free-spirited, open-minded people who love to travel. I am happy to try to show you some music venues around Nashville if time permits. However, I am still exploring this city myself and I'm not a local. I also understand wanting to see the city solo or if you have other engagements and just need a place to rest.
