Morgan got back to us quickly, and it was easy to access the apartment.
The exterior of the apartment building surprised us. The paint is peeling off, and the deck is partially rebuilt and unpainted, with areas that are soft with age. I'd come for a vacation, and I was briefly disappointed that this wasn't exactly a luxurious looking complex.
That said, it suited our needs. It's a long not particularly glamorous walk to Capitol Hill, but you can make it there. (Definitely cab worthy at night.) It's also walking distance to Pike Place and other touristy sections of downtown if you're willing to walk a while.
The interior looks a lot like the photos. I appreciated the work that they'd put in to make it nice. I got the sense that this is a business venture where someone has filled an apartment with thrift store and vintage finds, in order to make a cute place on the cheap. The space itself is quite large, with a full living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom with a tub (though, disappointingly, not useable for baths). The only bad side of the interior was that I found long black hair in the bed and tub. I'm not sure whether that hair in the bed came from the person making it, or the prior renter.
A big plus is that you can see the space needle from the front door.
As long as you're aware of exactly what you're getting (the chance to stay at a decent apartment in a crummy complex), and that's worth the money to you, then this place is good.
It was almost similar with photo. Cozy and clean. But cause of construction near here, it was very loud.
Great place and great location! Morgan even sent some recommendations for food and things see, which was really helpful. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time to go to Seattle.
Morgan's apartment was fantastic! Within walking distance of most of downtown, plenty of restaurants, etc. - we tend to walk a lot, so it suited us well. The place itself was comfortable and quiet - I was a little bit worried about all the construction going on in the area (even right outside the back door) but it didn't bother us in the least. On the whole, we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely rent this spot again.
Thank you, James! New pillows are in the apartment!
This apartment is well located, three blocks from a Whole Foods, a 10-15 min walk from the Space Needle, and a 20 min walk from Pike Place. As people have mentioned, there is a bit of construction in the area. The workers keep regular hours, so it wasn't a problem. The apartment is clean, straightforward, and had everything we needed to explore the area.
Morgan's spot was perfect for our weekend in Seattle. It was easy to get to and within walking distance to the space needle. This was our first trip to Seattle and this location was wonderful for walking around during the day. Her instructions were perfect, easy to follow and we were able to literally get inside and run out to start our weekend in Seattle within minutes.
Listing, Description and appearance of property matches the pictures. Great little apartment in the middle of South Lake Union close to Whole Foods, facilities and great coffee.
Was a great place to stay whilst travelling for work when you want more space then a hotel.
Place is comfortable and as described. Conveniently located with several good restaurants in easy walking distance (plus the Seattle Browns Backers!) and excellent public transportation options for the rest of the city. Easy communications with Morgan. Would stay again.
The interior of the place was very nice. All the special design touches made it quaint and the cleanliness was great. I loved the high quality sheets and towels. The construction of new buildings that was happening in front and back of the apartment was VERY loud! The work began at 7:00AM sharp and went til 5:00PM. Across the street they were also working on Saturday.
Neighborhood was under construction, and that would start at approx 7am. I was on a business trip, so I was up by then already, but someone who is planning to sleep in should be aware.
Otherwise, the apartment was very nice. I actually spent very little time in it, just coming back to sleep, but it was extremely close to the office i was working at, and very convenient. Apartment was freshly painted and clean, with a very comfortable bed.
Morgan was perfect, as always. She was great company when she was around, and she always kept her living areas extra clean and orderly. Additionally, her attention to detail is unparalleled, which I'm sure makes her a phenomenal host, too! I would highly recommend Morgan to all Airbnb hosts (and guests)!!
