I am a trainee lawyer in Edinburgh and my boyfriend Harry and I co-own our beautiful flat in the city centre, where we love to host people whether we are here or away. My real passion in life is travel. I love exploring new places and other cultures, and (like many others) my dream job is to be a travel writer! My father is from California and my mother from Scotland, so I am lucky to have dual nationality and spend time in the US as well, with my brother living in California and my sister living in New York.

My hobbies include cooking (& eating!), cinema, socialising with friends, reading and writing. I also enjoy keeping fit. 5 things I could not live without are close friends, family, travel, good food and music.

I have been lucky enough to travel a lot in the first 26 years of my life. I have backpacked all around South and Central America, South East Asia and India, and I have also stayed in some beautiful hotels around the world with my family. I have volunteered in many countries, working on environmental projects and teaching in orphanages and schools. I have also visited what I consider to be some of the most beautiful sights in the world, from sleeping on a water tower with breathtaking views of the Keralan rainforest to visiting the Taj Mahal and hiking to Machu Picchu. I love to stay in wonderful hotels and homes, but for me I'm happy to travel on a budget when necessary so I can see and do more in the city or country itself. My family run a Bed and Breakfast in Edinburgh and we have wonderful people from around the world who stay with us. Because of this, I love to host and I also love the concept of Airbnb. I would be a very friendly, tidy and happy guest to have to stay!

I would say one of my life motto's is "learn from yesterday; live for today; hope for tomorrow"; I try to live each day to its fullest, & part of that is travelling to different parts world whenever my funds permit!
