I come from Ireland and have lived and worked in London for over 7 years.
I absolutely LOVE my neighbourhood! I keep telling myself that I must explore all the wonderful places in London, but whenever I have some time off, I can't help but spend most of my days and evenings within walking distance of where I live!
Before I had my apartment, I occasionally used to stay in hotels in London (with work) and I can assure you the experience is incomparable. In my area, particularly, there are hardly any decent places to stay, so it is with great pleasure that I can provide you an opportunity to experience the neighbourhood in a much more authentic and comfortable style!:-)
A typical leisurely weekend, (before I had children!), was a refreshing run in Hyde Park, brunch in Raouls, the Tabernacle, the 202 or Tom's (I could go on, but I'll stop there), pick up my groceries at the Portobello market, a bit of shopping on Westbourne Grove, and then later in the evening a glass of wine or even a cocktail in one of many amazing pubs, wine-bars or restaurants in the area.
