Response from John:
I would expect people to be out and about in Hawaii rather than spending all their time in the house. The primary rental is the room and not the house, although I make every effort to open up the common areas for guests. Yes, I do need to clean the house in anticipation for my music students but again, as my posting states, if you want to sleep in, this is not the place for you. This has although solidified my decision not to allow children as guests as parents seem to let their kids go anywhere and everywhere. When they came in I did let them know that the bathtub was draining slowly and that I would have the Roto-Rooter guy come in if they wanted. I received no response. I had the plumber in within an hour after they left. I also received no response when I tried to find out when they expected to vacate the room. It's as if they never even read the listing. The day they left they left the kitchen in diarray as well as the room and bathroom. I would not recommend these people to stay at your house.
