Thanks for your reply Patrick - it's much appreciated. I apologises about the pot plants - I remember (now) about having to water them, however to my defence, it was only mentioned on the apartment information prior to booking. Given I had arranged to book with you close to two months in advance, a little reminder would have been nice. I do not recall using them as an ashtray however, as the ashtray that was provided was used by myself.
As for the wine - apologies again for its consumption. My past experience with airbnb has been that whatever is left on the premises can be utilised (with respect), whilst whatever may be bought and used by guests during their stay (that may be of use to hosts and other guests in the future) can be left. This especially applied to items in the kitchen and fridge. With this in mind, I did exactly that (both utilised/consumed things, whilst leaving things in return) - however had no idea the wine had leaked. So apologies again for any inconvenience this may have caused as if I were aware of it, then the fridge would have been left spotless :) !
As for the oil stains? I'm not too sure what would have caused that, as we didn't eat or use anything oily throughout our stay?
It's very unfortunate that you felt that my friend and I disrespected your property as it was absolutely not intentional. I have always utilised people's property with care as i understand the risk they are taking to allow strangers to utilise their facilities. That being said, I sincerely apologise for the inconveniences caused. Maybe a little advice from my end, that a little more communication on such matters would have eliminated such problems from occurring.
