I left a positive review about your place after reading yours and here is my answer to your review:
- Regarding the tea pot, the only one you left was good for 1 cup which is not enough for 2 people. So I took the Japanese one which was in your kitchen (not hidden or in a cupboard so I couldn't know it was not for use). I'm really sorry I broke it and left a note as this happened just when we left. I would suggest that you clearly display what's for use by the guests in the kitchen and place what's not in a cupboard or place a note near these.
- Regarding the noise with the wind, there's nothing about climate change or anything like that. I think that anyone travelling in Tasmania knows it can be very windy, rainy and cold, and expects to deal with that.
However, the exhaust fan kept on making SO much noise that it prevented us from sleeping the whole first night so I thought it was broken and that's why I asked you to send someone to come and check it as you were not there. I don't see that as shocking from a guest expecting to sleep well, paying to stay in your guest house.
When you told me it was normal, I saw there was one of the blades down, which had tape on it (so someone must have experienced the same issue). I did the same and placed some tape on the exhaust fan so we could as least sleep the second night, and told you I did so. Regarding the scratches made by the ladder, I really don't think that they were made by me as I placed the ladder very carefully to avoid scratching or breaking anything.
Once again, I think that someone staying in a guest house which he paid for expects to sleep well without annoying noises. Especially when these noises can be easily solved with a grid or a blocking system.
- Finally, regarding the texts messages, you were answering them in a very friendly way so I couldn't guess they were bothering you because of your minor surgery. I think that it is normal to call you and tell you everything is fine when we arrive as you were not there. As I think it is normal for a "host" to reply to a "guest" needs or questions regarding the house (eg: noise, sorting bins).
I hope this helps. Overall, we had a very good experience except the noise on the fist night. Your place is really nice, definitely a real Airbnb original place to stay near Hobart, which I would recommend.
