The room at Kia's was great, mainly bug free, spacious and air conditioned. The lady running the guesthouse is lovely. However, there are a couple of things that need to be mentioned in the description. The noise from local bars is very very loud and constant, often until 4am, leading to very disturbed sleep. This would be fine for guests who are planning on also being out at night, but we often needing to be up at 6am! Also, the room has a shared shower and toilet which was not mentioned in the description.
While we had a bit of trouble finding the place (our own fault especially since its a stones throw from the airport), we were greeted upon arrival and shown our room. The room was comfortable, convenient to two beaches in Crown Point, and the host was super friendly. There is a great place to eat right on the same grounds, and across the street a dive/surf shop, bank, and a good roti spot. I would recommend this place to anyone!
It was clean and had very close proximity to the beach as stated. I was disappointed by the fact that I could not manage to connect to WiFi, however. On the plus side, Kias is surrounded by a flurry of activity and has a little cafe that serves tasty food.
Absolutely fantastic location - right in the mix of everything! Karen was very hospitable and a massively attentive airbnb-er! Thank you!
this house is round the corner from the airport so it's a good place as a stop for a night.
I would not recommend it for a long stay: the room is filled by two queen beds, a fridge, but not much other space to move around
Joycelyn the lady in charge was very kind and helpfull and greated us upon arrival. and helped us out the next day
Kia's is very comfortable and perfectly located! It was a great please to recover after a long flight and good for walking out in the evening to bars and restaurants! A couple of minutes from the beach. I had everything I needed! Thanks for having me
Oh my! Our experience at Kia's was beyond our wildest dreams! The manager, Joycelyn, is such a sweetheart and couldn't seem to do enough for us. Karen, the owner, blessed us beyond measure. And Sylvia, part time help, always brought her joyful spirit. We met lots of people from around the world at Kia's, sharing our different experiences. Yes, the music from nearby was loud some nights but we tolerated it most of the time and were able to sleep. The beautiful gardens were great to enjoy the quiet of the day or evening, just to relax and not do anything but watch the chickens. This is my 4th time to Tobago and my first time to Kia's. Next time I go back, I will stay there as I find my apartment as I am going to move to Tobago permanently to work in the government schools. Even when I live there, I will go to Kia's often because I've made such dear friends there!
It is close to the beach, the people staying there were friendly. The room wasn't great plus it was very noisy even with earplugs.
