This BnB worked very nicely for the two of us. In our situation, the primary strengths were deep quiet and uninterupted privacy. We were on a two day/night work and pleaseure stay, and the plum room provided a space to both prepare and recover. It is worth noting that the Hill House is two blocks from large waterfront state park and close to quaint downtown and yet many neighbors hve deer fences around their gardens. The BnB is in a 1885's house, clean, spartan, and -- I think -- below market price in the area. Arrangements with Heather were friendly, prompt, convenient and almost entirely by phone and e mail.
The host canceled my reservation 110 days before arrival.
Meg was so sweet and welcoming! The old house is beautiful and clean inside, and was very comfortable to stay in. Meg let us do our own thing, which was perfect! She gave us suggestions when we asked for sights to see, but generally let us relax, watch our own movies and craft. I look forward to visiting again!
Meg was a wonderful hostess. She was friendly, helpful and really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The room and bathroom are quiet and clean. The house is lovely and in a wonderful location, within walking distance to Fort Warden and to the beach and Marine Science Center. I wholeheartedly recommend renting this room.
